Story

The Norfolk Arms hotel has a wealth of history and heritage. It’s a charming Georgian Coaching Inn, built over 200 years ago by the 10th Duke of Norfolk. It soon became the local meeting place and a popular resting spot for weary travellers. To this day the Arundel Society for the Prosecution of Thieves and Felons still hold their annual Dinner at this Arundel Hotel - a tradition which dates back to the 18th century.

The Norfolk Arms hotel is set under the battlements of Arundel Castle and has an atmosphere of traditional permanence, the kind that prevails in all the gracious buildings that make up Britain's colourful heritage.

We did our wedding reception at the Norfolk Arms and they were absolutely great. The organisation was very smooth special mention to Sue Cotton for being really helpful with all the room bookings. Michelle Tyson, the events manager ensured that our day went without a hitch and all the staff were really helpful and lovely I also want to mention Charlotte who was very reactive when there was an issue with our cake.nThe food and the wine were delicious even approved by my French family and the DJ was really good, including some French music like we asked him.nThey also provided a decorator to set the table and decorate the room. She did a great job and the room was even prettier than I had imagined.nThe rooms were really comfortable and the bridal suit was perfect to get ready with bridesmaids and mother.nI cannot recommend enough the Norfolk Arms as a wedding venue!
This is our 3rd stay here in the lastn10 weeks and our 6th stay in total.nWe love staying here and plan to stay again.nMany thanks to Caroline for helping with our latest booking, she was very attentive and lovely to chat to, giving us a better price than any of the online booking sites. Best to book with the hotel direct for the best price.nA very welcomed bottle of Prosecco was waiting in our room this weekend .nWe love the low ceiling rooms as they're very cozy and romantic.nWe've also had our room upgraded when celebrating a special occasion in December, enjoying a larger room with a four poster bed; Views looked out over the highstreet that was decorated with lots of sparkly festive christmas lights.nNice clean rooms with comfy beds.nGreat cooked breakfast with as much as you want buffet.nBeautiful views from all three of the rooms we've stayed in.nParking within the hotel grounds was a real bonus.
Love this Hotel! Have stayed a few times and always enjoy it. Shout out to one of the best waiters the man from Madeira!! Excellent service!! Also the chef last night Thursday did an amazing job! The Hake was beautifully cooked!
We are Currently staying in the Norfolk Hotel and it never disappoints. Lovely old hotel in the heart of Arundel. Staff are polite, friendly and professional. Food is excellent, we are staying in a court yard room which is very clean, quiet and simply perfect. I would recommend The Norfolk Hotel highly for your stay in Arundel. Our second christmas here and it has been amazing.
Last minute booking, not many room left but managed to book an Attic Room, quite comfy with low ceiling, ok if you not taller than 6ft.nRoom was o.k but found out during the night that a fan or extractor was on the roof, switching on and off every 30mins. Can't complain t was a last minute decision to stay overnight but would choose another room if booking again. The bed was quitev comfy along with a modern bathroom.
