The Strawberry Field Gate
"Strawberry Field ticks all the boxes for today’s traveller; explore, unwind and dream in the place that inspired one of the 20th century’s greatest songwriters. The iconic site immortalised by John Lennon in The Beatles hit, ‘Strawberry Fields Forever’ is open for visitors. Previously the site of a Salvation Army children’s home where the young John Lennon played in the grounds, Strawberry Field is now a unique addition to Beatles tourism with responsible tourism and wellbeing at its heart. The new centre is home to an interactive visitor exhibition, featuring John’s ‘Imagine’ piano, a café, a shop and calm garden spaces for reflection. Profits from the visitor experience fund charity programmes supporting young people into paid employment."

This was incredible to be honest and in our opinion is the best Beatles experience in the city. It’s really interesting to learn about the Salvation Army and what they do. You really feel the presence of John Lennon and the history of the Salvation Army when you visit here. The staff are all lovely and very helpful. Make sure you visit here if you are a fan of The Beatles.
John Lennon of the #Beatles was inspired by a real place – Strawberry Field, a Salvation Army children's home in Woolton, Liverpool that was just around the corner from where he grew up. The museum, restaurant and gardens are a must see. Our favorite part of #Liverpool. The audio tour was very helpful and you were encouraged to be mindful and present in your own personal purpose and experience while listening to beautiful inspiring music.
Gorgeous gardens, emotional if you're a John Lennon fan. You can go into the shop, cafe and gardens for free. If you want to go into the mini museum bit there is a fee. TBH I enjoyed the garden as there is outdoor seating and was a beautiful day. Staff so friendly and cafe is not expensive at all.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
What a great place to visit. I loved sering John's piano and learning more about the history of the place from past to present. Definitely a must visit for groups or on your own. Let me take you down because I'm going to Strawberry Feilds.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes

Strawberry Fields Forever! For Christmas I bought my family a brick by the bandstand. It was laid last week - they were pleasantly surprised
What a lovely place. The exhibition was brilliant and gives the History of Strawberry fields and then John Lennon. Really interesting video clips as you go round. The virtual tron was good fun. I had the exhibition to myself but encourage people to go. The garden was beautiful. I was lucky the weather was so nice. The audio guide has a list of songs but i stuck with the few Beatles tracks and Johns Imagine was so poignant. Really beautiful and peaceful environment and the sense that this helped mould one of the greatest is not lost.
We only had a photo taken outside the gate as we were on a tour but place looked lovely. We will definitely go back with our children later in the year.Visited onWeekendReservation recommendedNo
We live nearby yet had never seen the exhibition. Wow. We spent two hours with the audio guide and did it all. It's small, but if you follow the guide, contains so much interesting stuff. Then around the beautiful gardens and a cuppa. What could be better. I enjoyed it so much I joined!!
Iam really enjoying my experience at strawberry fields as it a really historical place. I've wanted to go and visit strawberry fields for a while now and the people who I have met have been amazing an also it's given me more confidence then ever to be excited about what's the next in my future. I would highly recommend this place as its all about The Beatles who are a band from Liverpool also the food is really nice and the staff are also really kind and friendly! Noteworthy details: Strawberry fields is mostly about The Beatles & John Lennon.
