The Picton Clock is great and it amazingly remains operational whilst everything around it is falling apart grim dirty or broken. Sadly it never seems to be openVisited onWeekdayWait time1 hr+Reservation recommendedNot sure

Christmas tree wasn't up and no decorations at all. I know we are in a pandemic but where's the Christmas spirit. I went past earlier and noticed a cyclist had stopped there and was putting some decorations on one of the trees that surround the clock I later saw a Facebook post of the cyclist who had said " had a few left over decorations thought I would bring the festive cheer" I thought that was great
Not really a tourist attraction, so I'll talk about other stuff. The pubs nearby look scary, there's a Tesco, and there's too many school kidsVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
O.K, so the conspiracy theory lover's amongst you may be interested in this. Twice now I have posted a review about this monument and both times the review has not been linked to the map but rather sat listed amongst my reviews and then disappeared without any explanation or reason why? I've been a bit busy so am just getting back to this now. I'm going to put the same info in this review from memory and see what happens? The clock tower is unremarkable but well known as a local landmark and seems to be maintained by the local council to a good standard. Stories about the clock tower include talk of underground tunnels connecting two other local landmarks and forming a triangle. So check back in a few months and see if my reviews are still there or if I have been run over by a steam roller!
Picton Clock Tower is a 19th-century Grade II listed clock tower located in Wavertree, Liverpool, England. Built in 1884 and designed by James Picton, the tower is a memorial to the architect's wife Sarah Pooley, who had died in 1879
