Food here is pretty good and excellent range of real ales. I love the way the local history is represented in this boozer! Of course the toilets are miles away up the huge steps!
Perfectly cervis I am happy thanks.
Great, friendly pub. Lots of guest ales to choose from for £1.99 a pint and great prices for the mainstream beer and lager too. Food is decent for the price, specials with drinks included are especially good value. Bottomless coffee from the self service machine is top quality.
Good place to eat. And cheap. Good food.
Wasn't impressed with this wetherspoons..had drinkers around us..was more of a "pub" atmosphere than a restaurant. I sat downstairs as disabled..but understand seating upstairs too. The tables were a bit neglected...but the food was nice...
Good prices for food and drink. Very good service although it was as busy the staff coped with ease... Seating available upstairs too.
So glad that this pub now offers decaf options for all hot drinks and hot chocolate is now included in free refill offer. Shame there was no hot chocolate today though! Got one of the food orders wrong today and staff were very apologetic about the delay this caused.
Interesting pub except there's a stairway to heaven to get to the loo!! Loads of stairs to climb to reach them. Staircase and walkways were all open plan, so sufferers of vertigo would hate the place! Looks like a former shop site rather than a purpose built pub. A bit quirky but OK.
Corner of carpet was sticking up. I tripped over. Breakfast went all over the carpet. Manager refused to get me another breakfast. Told me to eat that one off of their carpet.NO APOLOGIES for what was their FAULT. We decided NEVER to have a breakfast there again. We now go somewhere else.
