We had a tasty veggie roast with a side of cauliflower cheese and a squash and sage risotto. It was all nicely cooked, and they have a gluten free menu which is amazing! They have a great range of different choices for veggie and meat eaters. It was tasty but could have had a little more depth of flavour for example the cauliflower cheese wasn’t very cheesy. Saying that it was a pleasant experience and the staff were lovely! Thank you.

We’ve been here a few times for evening dinner and the food is amazing. Full of flavour and lovely and hot. The staff are friendly and helpful. We also booked a room for the night and as lovely as the room was the mattress was very uncomfortable, you could feel every spring. To finish on a positive note the breakfast was lovely.

We only had a quick coffee whilst walking nearby - we considered having a meal but unfortunately the menu was not we consider traditional pub grub. There did seem to be a reasonable choice but it was a little too 'gastro-pub'. I'm sure that the dishes would appeal to many people but we certainly didn't want anything fancy for a quick lunch - maybe for a relaxed evening meal 😉 The pub is well maintained and the staff are friendly. It was quite busy but we managed to find a seat - there's also plenty of seating outside. Just nearby is an historic bridge over the river Wey. The pub is very easy to find just off the A3. Accommodation is available and I'm sure it would make a nice change from an impersonal hotel 😁 Worth a visit.

Sensational. A little longer to wait than usual, but it was more than worth the wait. The food has some of the best flavours I’ve tasted and with such a small menu they definitely to got it right. Beautiful interior, open fire and friendly staff. A fantastic evening all round. Highly recommend it!
