Just a really great place to drink, fantastic range of real ales and amazing burgers. 02/02/2018 Wow, what a great shame, over run by junior children, less than eight years old! My fault being in the public bar after three thirty on a Friday afternoon. All the same, the Star has a fantastic family room and great patio area. Just a shame to let very young children run riot in a public bar. Probably not be drinking there any more. I hate to think what people would think of honest sensible people drinking ales amongst minors? I am totally devastated. PRM

Arranged to bring a group of 18 cyclists for lunch a couple of weeks ago, but was not able to give numbers until today at 11.00, turned out to be 20, we were also asked to precook the lunch orders. So with all this done and arranged to get there by 1.00 and they would serve as we got there. I am leading to the outcome, our arrival was late by 20 minuets. They had set up a long table in the end room and the food was brought out just as we were ordering drinks at the bar. There weren’t any problem and the staff were excellent. I would highly recommend The Star and its staff.

Best pub in Godalming by far! Friendly staff and a great selection of ales and ciders on offer. Did I mention the food is top notch?

Lovely traditional boozer! Recent revamp of the garden, lovely for a bit of lunch and a pint of something special.

Great pub in small Surrey town, short walk from the station. Always a number of well kept ales and ciders. Many beers are hand drawn from the cellar, so make clear your intentions, beer wise, before the go down! Not really any evening food.
