Have never stayed here but, when in the area, we often pop in to the bar for a drink or a morning coffee. Always seems very welcoming. Good beer. Real fire in the winter.

Menu was a good size with traditional pub food on offer. An additional specials menu was also available. Great selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks including some great guest ales. Service was excellent as was the quality of food. Open fire was also a lovely touch.Toilets were to the rear of the restaurant area where you had to go outside to get to them however they were clean with hand soap, working hand dryer and a radiator meaning although it was an out building it was still nice and warm. We didn't stay at the hotel but the in-laws did, pictures of the room looked clean, spacious and comfortable. They also had a great view of the heath. I would definitely go back and certainly recommend.

Booked a table for 1pm got there and they had put it down for 3pm. Luckily they managed to sort it fairly quickly. Food is over priced. My dad and step mum had ham egg and chips. Can't really go wrong or can you. The ham was more fat the eggs were hard and the chips weren't crisp at all. I had pie the gravy was the same consistency as my diet coke.the conservatory where we were seated was far too over crowded. Although it is dog friendly which is why we went, we won't be returning to dine there

Great location, near to the beach. Pub gets very busy so would recommend booking if eating. Dogs are welcome. Food was ok but a bit on the pricey side.Having said that the wife would thoroughly recommend "colins" sticky toffee pudding!
