Wanted to give more stars as the location is fantastic and the restaurant was really good even for us vegetarians. I was torn because the site is really natural looking but almost tending towards looking unkempt and the toilets were quite scruffy and untidy especially around 9-10 in the mornings. We were given a pitch in the north field on arrival and I was horrified because it was so uneven and dark. Totally unsuitable for our motorhome! It looked like a giant unmarked car park! Not at all the picture I had in my head…The reception gave us a choice of 2 pitches that were left…one I couldn’t believe actually was a pitch and the other was right next to the bar and play area. We left a day early it was so noisy! Sad because I really wanted to love it and was so looking forward to our holiday. I will have nice memories of the beach and stunning sunsets but I don’t think we will return…
Great Park, clean and tidy. Friendly staff and the Park Warden Worzel is such great guy, very personable, polite but wont take any nonsense making the park and safe site to camp. The Sundah carvery is lovely and fresh and excellent value for money.
Excellent camp site with the most helpful staff I’ve come across, nothing was too much trouble. My sister & I are new to camping & had trouble unhitching our caravan. Help soon arrived, “worzel” was a fabulous help & when we we’re leaving 2 guys came over to check we’d done everything right! We were very grateful. The toilet/shower blocks we’re good & very clean. Food at the pub was excellent too. Apart from only being able to obtain wifi in the pub which, was quite a problem for us being able to contact home, I really can’t fault this site & we’re looking forward to returning as apparently there will be wifi throughout the site soon
Stayed here on multiple occasions, both camping in a tent and stayed in a chalet. On each occasion I have had an enjoyable time. The onsite bar/restaurant, The 12 Lost Churches, is really good with a great choice of beers local Adnams and Aspall and the food is good quality with massive portions at reasonable prices. This place is recommended.
Breath of fresh air. Very well maintained with friendly staff. Very clean. Views are stunning. Dog friendly. Highly recommended
Best location for a campsite! On cliff top, steps to beach or across the lane to Dunwich Heath . Clean toilets and shower block.Hot water . We were in North Field with our dog and that was lovely & quiet. Would be an ideal family holiday place as children's park on site, pub& restaurant & we'll stocked shop. Booking in advance advisable as looks very popular in summer holidays. We will definitely return.
Love this campsite. Great shop, great bar and restaurant and friendly reception. Our tent was about 30 seconds away from the steps to the beach. Nice clean toilets and showers. Definitely recommend for any family looking to camp Playground: Nice playground with new equipment. Next to the bar so you can enjoy a drink while the kids play Restrooms: Clean toilet and shower block Dog-friendliness: Dogs are welcome here
I just love this place, the beach is my favourite ever, also cracking sunday lunch, oh, and staff are so pleasant, especially the girl with the blonde hair who served me and my hubby.
We only went to the 12 lost churches for a carvery. I will say it was one of the best I've ever had. Just popped in on the way back from Dunwich.
Had a lovely meal here,food was great,service was great and very good value for money.dessert was so good I took a picture.
