Ah, Tarka Dhal and rice.. Since the sad passing of Abdul Hamid and his restaurant's move to Saxmundham, I have taken great interest in his students cooking. Tarka Dhal was Abdul's greatest dish, and today was the first one I have had which equalled his skill. Rich, a wonderful nutty aftertaste, and a fantastic aroma. Not only that, but there is enough for my lunch tomorrow as well, and all for £5.25. The rice was also excellent, also aromatic and lightly cooked.

Nice restaurant - good service and tasty food. All the better as it's in the lovely Suffolk town of Saxmundham.

havent used this place for 6 mths as food was greasy bland but hot. my son persuaded me to get a takeaway... BEST suggestion he has made in ages. i purchased chicken ceylon bombay potatoes rice perswri nan and poppadoms, i might be overweight but im seriously NOT a big eater, i always get a kids meal even in McDonald's!!!! but i DEMOLISHED over half of this in the space of 20 mins!!!! ten out of ten boys!!!

Service excellent but food definitely gone down. Normally dishes have been well prepared and flavoursome last night's experience extremely lacklustre. Won't be recommending or visiting again for quite a while.
