We haven't visited for a couple of years but we will definitely visit again, we both had the half rotisserie chicken which was excellent and loved the help yourself salad bar, we were in early but it filled up very quickly, the staff were lovely and friendly and nothing was too much trouble, the service was excellent
We always enjoy our meal at the Harvester. Great quality food at reasonable prices we are never disappointed. A broad range on the menu for food & drink, including the unlimited salad bar and refill soft drink station, it's fast becoming our restaurant of choice in Lowestoft. Our waitress, Divide, was welcoming and attentive and undoubtedly deserves employee of the month. My favourites are the full rack of BBQ ribs, 1983 combo, mixed grill and large rotisserie chicken. My girlfriend loves the salmon and vegetable rice bowls :

​I visited Harvester in Lowestoft recently and ordered the 1983 Combo half rack of ribs and half chicken. Unfortunately, the experience didn't quite live up to expectations.n​n​While the chicken was perfectly fine, the half rack of ribs was incredibly disappointing. They were so thin they were almost paper like there was very little meat to speak of. For a signature combo, I expected much better quality and portion sizing. There were a few other minor niggles with the rest of the meals at the table as well.nn​I’m not usually one to complain, and I actually felt quite bad bringing it up, but when you’re paying for a meal, you expect a certain standard. Initially, the manager came across as quite defensive, which made the situation a bit more awkward and annoying than it needed to be.nn​To be fair to the team, they did eventually step up to make things right. The manager ended up waiving the cost of the drinks and a few of the meals to compensate for the issues.nn​Final Verdict:nWhile I was happy with the final resolution and felt the gesture was fair, the initial quality of the food and the defensive attitude of the manager means I’m not in any rush to return.
2 stars are for the friendliness of the staff as for the food if i could give no stars i would have done, the best bit of it was the salad that you eat first . i wish we had taken photos of the meal the scampi and chips was certainly not worth the 15.99 price the peas were microwaved to a solid mass, the scampi was a tad over cooked and the chips were awful. even the nice lady who served us said they shouldnt be like they were. if i didnt know better i would say they were refried old ones . hubby had a chicken burger which he said was ok. the waitress did offer to get us some more chips but after the first lot we didnt want them .the only good thing was we had a 40% off app. and the waitresstook both our cokes off the bill .sorry but we wont be returning
