Lovely friendly service from start to finish. Our meals were lovely, I particularly enjoyed the roast beef which came with a great selection of veg. We were celebrating a friends birthday and the atmosphere of the pub was perfect throughout the entire evening. Our only slight criticism was that the menu for mains was maybe a little limited. However we did thoroughly enjoy our meals.
Visited here a couple of times, the first was just for drinks which was okay. Second time we brought a visiting family member here for lunch. We booked online, a very long time getting drinks, another delay getting food orders and an hour and a half total before getting meals. By this time our toddler had lost patience so had we! and so we had to take it in turns to eat whilst someone entertained him outside. It's a shame because it's a lovely pub in a lovely setting with a short walk to a nearby play park. I think next time we will stick to drinks only.
Lovely helpful staff, the room is large, clean, nicely decorated and well-appointed, with a small private outside seating area adjoining a larger communal outside drinking and dining area which would be lovely in the summer. We had dinner in the pub which was good. Overall a very comfortable stay and very good value for money. We would happily come back again.
Thank you so much to Dot and her brilliant team at The Running Horse Pub, Littleton, for hosting the funeral wake. We had a large gathering of family and friends at the pub and the layout worked really well .The buffet, which the chefs at The Running Horse provided, was delicious and plentiful. Dot and her team were very approachable, kind and helpful and ensured that the afternoon ran smoothly. I am so grateful for all their help. We have also had lots of positive feedback from our guests. I look forward to visiting your pub again soon :- Food & drinks: Excellent food and choice of drinks.
Lovely welcoming fire on, friendly staff and comfy private areas to sit. Everything was newly refurbished and relaxing. Sadly didn’t have time for food but it sounded delicious. Coffee was great. Clean toilets. What a great spot! We will be back.Service: 5/5
Stopped by this lovely pub just outside of Winchester. We all had a roast which was one of the best we have ever had. Service was great too. Will be back very soon.Rooms: 5/5
We didn't stay in the accommodation, but enjoyed a great lunch with 25% tastecard discount. Tasty fish pie and pan-fried corn-fed chicken with mushrooms and champ mash. With 12.5% service charge, not a cheap meal, but exceptional quality. We'll be back!
The pub has changed its decor which is a shame as it makes it look shabby. The service was slow, and we had to chase the staff for deserts, which along with the wines are very expensive. As our visit was for Sunday lunch, we did not expect to have teenagers sat down covered in mud from their sporting events, not a good sight. Over the years we have visited this once great pub often, unfortunately this will probably be our last visit, sometimes change can be good but in this case it's not!
Amazing place to stay, spacious rooms with everything you need for your stay. Cosy dining and food was beautiful. Staff are friendly and very helpful....a warm welcome from the team Rooms: 5/5
This is our local pub and the food is just incredible every time. Lovely location, beautiful decorated and always great in there. Only thing I’d love to have more of is a couple more options on the menu!Rooms: 5/5
