3.5 stars - nothing wrong at all just a little basic but value for money, good location, friendly staff and a decent breakfast included in the price. Recommend if you're not looking for anything fancy. Rye itself is lovely too, highly recommend visiting the town.Rooms: 3/5
The room was big and clean. It had access to a little garden facing the river with a lovely view. The bed was very comfy. We found several cobwebs on the corners and walls. Just need to pay a bit more attention to those details.Rooms: 3/5
Lovely hotel, really friendly staff. Room is clean, tidy, and very well equipped. Shower is fantastic and really hot. Breakfast was a wonderful experience, very attentive staff, generous portions of food and freshly cooked. Would highly recommend this hotel if you are in Rye. The added bonus is free parking.Rooms: 5/5
Overall a great value place to stay in Rye. Our room was cosy without being tight and was really comfortable and warm with a lovely view of the river in the morning. The room and bathroom, and the restaurant could all have done with a proper clean. It wasn't dirty just not well cleaned with layers of dust in the room and our coffee pot! and the bathroom was similar. Service was lovely apart from when we tried to get in at night and the late night receptionist seemed annoyed at us for not following some process with keys that wasn't explained to us despite asking. Breakfast was really generous with lots of different options and juices. It was nice to sit near the river to eat as well. I'd recommend the place.
My friend and I came here for a girls weekend away and we had the best stay with River Haven! Location is perfect; short walk from the station and town with ample parking too. Our room was clean and comfy with plenty of space for us both, despite being close to the road the noise was minimal. Ladies on reception and bar were so friendly and eager to help/offer recommendations for places to eat and drink. Breakfast options are great too! I left a pair of boots in the room when I left and the team have been really helpful in getting them back to me. 10/10 stay with River Haven!!
Lovely local hotel with clean,. comfortable rooms, free parking, helpful staff and a good breakfast.Rooms: 4/5
Great location, very close to the town. Good car park. Rooms are slightly dated and need some TLC, but they are comfortable and surprisingly quiet. WiFi in common with most of the town is weak, but that is not a big thing. Great breakfast.
I spent the weekend here with my partner and had a lovely time, staff very friendly and were happy to chat with us and even look after my partners leftovers from a meal out in the fridge for another time! The room was clean and spacious with a proper bathroom and provided tea and coffee even though we didn’t drink it. The place itself was a little dated in its decor but pleasant and was very pleasantly suprised by the breakfast offerings served there! We got our fill both days we were there which kept up going for our trips out which requires some walking! Thank you so much for having us! Rooms: Clean, simple and comfortable! Nearby activities: Lots of nice pubs and a trip to Camber castle! We got the bus to Winchelsea for a day trip which the stop was nearby and had a lovely time! Walkability: Not a long walk to the town centre and nearby bus stops! Food & drinks: Breakfast included and a nice serving plus plenty of toast, fruit and yogurts to pick from!
I stayed at The River Haven Hotel with a larger group in 5 rooms and we loved our stay. We also booked dinner at the Waterside restaurant and the chef was fantastic. The meals were super delicious, the chef came out to ask us if everything is fine and gave us a wonderful service he is an asset to this hotel, please keep him!. Our breakfast was super delicious too. The lovely ladies serving us at breakfast and young chap serving us at dinner were also fantastic. I only gave 4 stars for the room as it was super hot there it was 29 degrees outside and it would be nice to have fans in each room, and also hand shower but apart from that everything was clean and tidy, comfy beds, we had a large room and were super happy staying there overnight. Location is just a stone's throw away from the centre and it's nicely located next to the river. Price was also very reasonable, everything else in Rye was unreasonably overpriced for our dates. Thank you so much for your wonderful service :- From Muddy Hikers xx Food & drinks: Delicious meals and fantastic service.
Stayed for 2 nights over the kings May bank holiday, our second time at the Haven. Very comfortable, nice and quiet, friendly staff, good breakfast, parking and well positioned next to the water. Couldn't want more and really good value - excellent! Many thanks!Rooms: 5/5
