Brilliant pub in a village setting. With a quaint feeling to it, there's a lot of history behind this pub! Owner behind the bar is very friendly and let me sample one of the beers before I ordered a pint of it. Resident dog, George, is a credit to the team and so, so friendly. We wanted to order food but the pub is currently without a chef. However we were informed that they are in the process of bringing someone new in. Just means I have an excuse to go back to support this pub in the very difficult times. If you want to help support bars through this pandemic then please visit this establishment as it's got a very nice vibe to it and the owners are brilliant! The pub itself has a vintage feel to it and it's been a long time since I have had a drink in a pub that feels like a real pub. Thanks for a good experience to the friendly owners of this bar. We will be back!
Great pub run by a lovely couple with a lot of care for the food they serve accompanied by some brilliant pints. The atmosphere is friendly and local. A treat at the end of a nice walk or cycle.
A nice cosy pub. And a refreshing pint of Tyneside Blonde which aided my walk!
Friendly owners , great and authentic pub to be . Dog friendly and lot of wonderful walks to do.
Very friendly welcoming pub. No chef so no food at that date. Lovely dog friendly local.
Visited this place today. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend this place. The food was beautiful and the locals were very friendly also. It is a small place, with a big atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back.
Wonderful Sunday lunch. We had the roast beef, there was a big plate full and separate bowl of vegetables. Lovely welcoming staff and a very friendly atmosphere. Recommend a visit if in the area.
Called today for lunch, lovely pub good atmosphere, a good pint of real ale local The food was excellent, we both had a different risotto, sent compliments to the chef. Will certainly be back for more The pub dog George is very social as well as the three other dogs that were there today.
Popped in during a walk with our dog. Very friendly staff and will definitely visit again when in the area again.
Very good quality roast. Beef could be served rarer but it was all tasty. Friendly accomodating staff. Will be coming back here
