The Pearson Room

About

Stylish yet cosy, vibrant and bustling, warm and inviting ... The Pearson Room is the perfect place to entertain clients or unwind with friends.

Story

An casual yet stylish cocktail bar serving an eclectic all day menu and cocktails inspired by the seasons. The full menu is available throughout the bar, lounge and dining areas; perfect for long lunches or after-work drinks that continue into the night.

The interior draws inspiration from a broad description of a 1950’s stylized Hitchcock approach to design; born from an era in which the traditional attitudes of the time were challenged and that have endured in the decades to come and right up to the present day. With heritage leather seating, a large zinc bar and stunning vistas over looking Canada Square, the atmosphere is one of easy-going indulgence, combining a stylish and cosy design.

The Pearson Room owes its name to the eminent Canadian Nobel Prize winning Canadian Statesman, Lester B. Pearson. We offer an atmosphere that is vibrant and bustling, yet still personal, playful and welcoming, creating an environment that is suitable to individual needs and offers a new experience on every visit.

Visited this as part of a networking dinner. The waiters are very attentive. I didn't have cocktails but my colleagues who did were very happy. Let's talk about the food. I give the snacks, starters and the desert a thumbs up but I can't say the same about the mains. The whipped feta and bread was lovely. The tuna starter was wonderful. My colleagues had the prawns and were happy too but when you move to the mains, If you look at the plating and consider the taste it honestly feels like two different kitchens at play. My colleagues shared a similar view. Risotto was overpowered by lemon so couldn't get other flavours, octopus was a little overcooked and rice itself undercooked. The triple cooked chips were not really triple cooked. The chicken burger was a little dry and the kimchi leeks which was my personal interest was minimal. I can't comment on the other mains as those are the ones our table had. But if the same love was given to the mains as the starters and desert I would definitely be a fan.
Such a gem of a place with delicious food, amazing cocktails and lovely staff. Went for the comedy and live music night and it was such a fun evening, the atmosphere was great! Have been a previous time and had very gramable cocktails too!
Well designed restaurant with a great view. Staff was friendly and service was quick. Food was good and reasonably priced. Would go again.
Nice place for drinks but distinctly average food. My chicken was quite bland and uninspiring as was my guests. I do feel that it's outclassed by other places in the Wharf. Complained to the manager later and was told I was wrong !.
Had a fantastic lunch at The Pearson Room this week, far exceeded my expectations having never eaten there and my new favourite place to take clients. Starters were particularly delicious but all the food and drink was on point. One thing I really enjoyed, compared to some other venues in the Wharf where the tables are rammed in close together, is the open and airy feel of the place. It's just a nice place to spend a couple of hours. Staff very attentive. Well deserved 5 stars. Keep it up!
A return visit for us following several great previous visits and our best experience yet. We remain impressed by the outstanding service on offer at this restaurant and the updated menu left us struggling which dish to pick. We dined on a Thursday evening and had a 3-course meal with cocktails to finish. The service was friendly and welcoming from the outset and we appreciated the recommendations for dessert from the waiting staff. There was a great ambience without it being too noisy or overwhelming and the surroundings always providing a great setting for a special meal. An additional mention to Sarah who was fantastic and really made our time at the restaurant special. My partner and I are looking forward to returning in the near future and we'd like to thank all the staff in The Pearson Room for another 5-star visit.
We had an excellent breakfast in wonderful surroundings up there at the 2nd floor, keep looking, you'll find it... eventually. The staff was very friendly and made us feel comfortable. The food we had pancake seemed at first scarce but was actually sufficient. The plus is definitely the toilets which are a must see if you can beat the maze. It's a good place to treat yourself.
Nice atmosphere and view of the CW Square. Had the Tuna steak during my visit which didn't seem very fresh to be honest.
The Pearson room is stunning! The view is amazing and the customer service is even better.!
We had such a lovely long lunch! The staff were next level, attending to our every need. Even our toddlers. The food was the best we have had! We especially loved the Chicken, Mackerel & steak for mains and the pork cheek started was really spectacular! Can’t wait to go back! Thanks for such a lovely afternoon: Vegetarian options: Delicious seasonal menus to cater to all dietary needs Parking: Really easy to park in Canada aqua car park Kid-friendliness: Very much so!
