Had a lovely overnight stay here. Room a good size with comfy chairs and good views. Bathroom had bath and large walkin shower.Lovely lounge area with magnificent panoramic views of hills. Dinner was really good with good service from smiling and efficient young waiters and waitresses. Good bar prices for beers but wine seriously overpriced at £9 glass!! Excellent breakfast with huge choices available. Would definitely have no problem going back for a longer stay.

I visited the Cardrona with family and friends between Christmas and New Year. It's a big hotel for the area but not huge. The staff are always friendly and professional but the hotel is small enough that they recognise you as well. It's got a decent pool, with sauna and steam room and a well equipped gym. We ate in the restaurant one night and bar another, both had very good food. The bar food was slightly more limited in food choices and isn't a huge area so can get busy but we didn't have to wait long for food or drink. The breakfast is hot and cold buffet with a good selection of breakfast favourites. This really is a great hotel for a family short break, located in some stunning Borders scenery. We'll definitely be back.

Lovely location rooms were ok but no fridge in the room. Food was lovely staff very helpful and pleasant. The lounge area is too small for the amout of guests the hotel can hold and there were not enough seats to have a drink at the bar. Only one bar staff at times and guests had to line up and wait to order a drink. This let the hotel down otherwise it was a very pleasant stay.

Great location in rolling Borders countryside and close to the river Tweed. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms are generously sized and though decor is a little tired in places, bathrooms are good with a large bath and separate walk in shower. Prices are reasonable and the hotel is dog friendly.

Friendly and helpful staff, great location and good food. Had a brilliant overnight would happily stay again.
