First time visiting here and enjoyed the experience. Food was great, don’t be fooled by the small plates section as the portions were still very generous. Will who served us was very pleasant, helpful, and attentive without being overbearing. Well stocked bar and generally a very welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely come back.
Had the pleasure of having lunch in The County Hotel,Peebles last Friday 15/5/26nWe were made welcome +nothing was too much trouble.nFood was well presented+ delicious.nService was great+we will definitely be back.
Service at the tills was very slow and they had run out of chicken fillets completely Sunday 24th May. Ended up ordering burgers instead which were very tasty and arrived quickly. Then again, it's not hard to make a burger. Average pub, with TV screens everywhere showing different sports - not my scene but if you like watching sports and not talking to your friends then it's a place for you. It was ok but if I come back to Peebles, I'll try something else next time.
We were there on Monday lunchtime husband, grandson , dog and me. Food was lovely service was good a few things not available but didn't spoil our lunch. High chair available but no kids menu,having said that there is a small plates option. Great value for money and so friendly. Adam was very helpful.
We came for the rugby, good atmosphere. Will our server was great, really friendly! Would say there’s a hierarchy at the bar. I think it’s ’who You know’. My husband stood at the bar for ages waiting while the barman’s friends clearly arrived after him and kept getting served before him. Apart from that everything was good.
