Fantastic place for food and drinks.nCame here a few times when it was Wetherspoons, couldn’t bring the dogs, so not good for Peebles, as a very dog friendly town.nSince it has changed hands, what a difference.nStaff are so bubbly, really chatty, and totally different from the spoons staff.nJoe was looking after my mum and I and was a great help when deciding what we wanted to eat.nHave to say, the food is gorgeous.nMum got the steak and ale pie. WOW .. I decided to go for the cheese burger, fresh from the butcher in Innerleithen. Did not disappoint.nHad to be greedy and order sticky toffee pudding, mum had pancakes.nGreat they now let my two dogs in, makes a huge difference.nPrices the same as spoons, if not better.n£6 for cheeseburger with fries, can’t go wrong with that.nWill definitely be back at the weekend, for some more great food.
The burger was burnt, and it was the driest burger I have ever eaten. I think this is actually the worst burger I have eaten ever. And coffee was tasteless tasted like hot water. Terrible, Shame to see a place being taken over and failing. Wetherspoons failed and it seems the new owners also failing.
Great to find Cross Keys is no longer a Wetherspoons! Dogs are welcome and staff are very friendly and welcoming. Really enjoyed our dinner and drinks.
Have stayed in The Cross keys before so knew what to expect but this time we had a much bigger room . It was beautifully decorated with a sofa and easy chairs and table . The walk in shower was great . The staff were very helpful and we were able to check in an hour early .
Great pub/hotel in a lovely location, with a good selection of beers and food. The rooms were lovely and clean and the staff were fantastic, very welcoming.
