My partner and I love to visit Peebles and have twice had lunch in the Cross Keys.
On our visit today the pub was nearly empty, therefore we had a good choice of where to sit.
Unfortunately they don't have diet coke only diet pepsi...ugh, so i enjoyed a lovely glass of John Smiths and lemonade. The beer menu was amazing, I have never seen so many different types -  there was even beer from Turkey! 
There seemed to be only 1 female waitress, who didn't look very happy in her work! We had no food menu on the 
table, just a ratty piece of paper advertising a few different sorts of chicken meals! We ordered...my partner had chicken strips and I chose  a chicken salad. It wasn't until we had ordered that we found a menu on another table! Too late to re order...
The meal was fine, We have enjoyed better and I doubt if we will eat there again. One good thing about the Cross Kets is that they have a lovely 'non smoking' beer garden outside! Roll on the Summer I say, for those who live in Peebles, lets hope the sun shines. 😊

A lively pub a Wetherspoons so you will not be disappointed with the food and if you are real ale fan very good selection.

It's a Wetherspoons. Good food and drink cheap and great curtious staff. Plenty of tables available too.
