Lovely hotel. The staff were very attentive, a credit to their training. Wonderful views and a charming atmosphere that made you feel especially welcome. The food was very nice, top quality ingredients cooked to a high standard. My only criticism would be room maintenance. Our room had a water damaged bath panel, loose mirror fixings, and peeling window sill paint. This attention to detail is the only reason I have given 4 stars. The service could not be faulted. The next time I need to stay in the area, I will be staying at the Painswick. A big thankyou for a lovely stay. Keep up the fantastic work.

Loved the venue and the views are amazing, but although the food was good it was in very small portions and wasn't good enough to justify the extortionate prices. I don't mind paying for quality and/or quality but this didn't fully deliver to it's hefty price tag on either count sadly.

Immaculate hotel with excellent food and faultless service. We had our wedding reception there and our every need was pandered to. It manages to bridge the gap of homeliness and luxury with perfection.

A gem of a hotel, a little remote but worth the effort. Great food, lovely staff beautiful rooms.
