Had the most delicious Sunday beef roast here today, it was amazing. Then had sticky toffee pudding which was also delicious. The staff were polite and very welcoming. Highly recommend this pub for food, especially the Sunday roast.
Yo, listen up, fam! So, we hit up this hotel joint, right? But yo, Expedia played us dirty – booking didn't slide through, and we roll up late, straight booking-less. Ain't nobody got time for that! But then, in comes Peter, the bossman, swooping in like a true G. He got us sorted, no questions asked. Mad respect! Now, let me tell you about this spot. Location? Fire. Views from the room? Straight-up breathtaking. We talking skyline vistas that make you wanna stay forever. And the staff? A whole vibe. Peter and his crew ain't just helpful – they family now. So, if you're looking for a spot where the hustle meets hospitality, this joint is where it's at. Trust me, you won't regret it. Peace out.
We love going to the Osborne for Sunday lunches and having the roast. Their Cullen Skink is THE BEST we have ever tasted. The staff are always welcoming & friendly, and the service is always fantastic. Service: 5/5
Good real ale, good specials, good service, never had a disappointing meal here. If comming on Sunday booking essentialService: 5/5
The Osborne is a very comfortable inn with a beautiful view, almost right on the water. It's esthetically pleasing charm welcomes you immediately and draws you into its warmth. The rooms are quite cozy and roomy with bathrooms en suite. The atmosphere in the bar and restaurant are relaxed and jovial. The food is exquisite and breakfast is made to order. The exceptional staff and local patrons were most invaluable resources to us. I absolutely recommend The Osborne and I will definitely be back. Rooms: The beds and pillows were so comfortable that we were ensured an excellent night's sleep.
We ate here tonight, the bar and waiting staff are fantastic BUT I specifically asked for no pepper because I hate it, it gives me indigestion and it brings me out in a big sweat. Before ordering the pork the waitress checked there was no pepper in it, when she returned I explained the reason why I didn't want pepper on my meal. When the meal arrived it was liberally sprinkled with black pepper, the waitress agreed she had told the chef no pepper and took my meal back to the kitchen where the chef said there was no more veg cooked so it was take it or leave it. There was nowhere else nearby so I was forced to try to pick off as much pepper as possible as I was hungry but it still ruined my meal. When it came time to pay the waitress said the boss refused to reduce the cost of my meal but gave me a half of beer free. This attitude is appalling and more what I would expect from an energy company!
Spent 2 nights in the Osborne, view was amazing and food amazing, very friendly. mattress was a bit soft and bouncy, so sleep wasn't the best. The room was nice & warm, and I would recommend. Food & drinks: We only had breakfast but was good quality and value for money.
We enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Osborne for 4 persons. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff were warm and attentive, and the food was absolutely phenomenal! A good varied menu, would love to see some more vegetarian options, but great choices for starters, mains and desserts. The meals were prepared with love and care and it was obvious, and appropriate cutlery was served with each course. Drinks are a generous measure and the meals are absolute value for money. Do not look further than The Osborne for a truly satisfying dine-out experience in every sense.
Delicious! A warm refuge from the windy coast, we enjoyed our respite in the glass-enclosed dining area. A great selection of local scotch whiskeys was a nice bonus. Friendly service to boot.
Welcoming, great views and probably the best fish and chips.Hotel highlightsGreat view
