The welcome and attention to detail were second to none. Service was wonderful and knowledgeable. Breakfast was great. Best toast! The best host ever in a hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and hope to return next year.
Stayed for 3 nights in a room/suite on top floor with a fantastic view over the bay. Very comfortable and clean room with Very good facilities including info on places to eat on an evening. Lovely hosts, great breakfast everything you need for a great stay on this lovely island.Rooms: 5/5
Really enjoyed our stays at the Bayview. Irene was accommodating, very knowledgable about the island, and very friendly without being intrusive. The rooms we've stayed twice were beautiful, and well-maintained with comfortable beds. Highly recommended.
the nicest hosts ever. so welcoming, so kind too. such a good location in regards to the town centre, literally a 2 minute drive and maybe 10 minute walk. the room was stunning with a gorgeous view. the hosts were so good especially with regards to cleanliness due to COVID 19 ad I felt clean and sanitary. can't recommend them enough, had the best day of my life here
Friendly people, very tasty and large cooked breakfast that sets you up for the day. The room we had 9 is a bit of a climb on the steepening stairs but was of a fair size and the small on-suite was also very clean and well maintained, no wobbly toilet seat here!!. A very nice stay and if you're looking for accommodation on Bute I can definitely recommend The Bayview Hotel.
Excellent view. Great location: just far enough from the town center to be a nice walk. Bus stop very near. Quiet. Very nice host. Breakfast is basic cold cereal, yogurt, English breakfast with veggie sausage option, porridge. No plans potato pancakes, beans, black pudding, etc. Room price was very reasonable for comfort, charm, and view.
A lovely hotel and they looked after us brilliantly. The rooms were lovely, great views front and back. Breakfast was fantastic so much choice. The only downside was they do not do evening meals only because if they did I am sure they would be good. We will definately be back, a gem of a hotel.
Amazing wee hotel. Decor is a bit dated but views are incredible, bed is super comfy, it's very clean, breakfast is delicious and the service was very friendly- couldn't ask for more! Especially at this price point. 10/10 will visit againRooms: 5/5
Pros - owners are lovely and make sure you have a nice stay. Great building, well maintained. Breakfast is amazing. £150 for 2 with breakfast is very decent. Room was very spacious with couch sofabed they are happy with you having alcohol in rooms and will set out a table if you have a takeaway which is rarely seen if you need this or anything else just tx them. Covid friendly - sanitizer available, masks worn etc. £3 a bottle a beer, not bad. Fantastic view. Cons - it's a great 10-15 min walk from the ferry terminal but if it's raining then it's not stairs are a nuisance especially the ones leading to room 9 which I had. The room had some wear and tear, nothing major just some stains especially on roof. 2 single beds pushed together. Don't do meals - which is a shame but who knows why they don't. Shower was prob the worse - makes you feel like your fighting scorpion or sub zero if that makes no sense then either melt or freeze your skin Would definitely stay again tho.
A most enjoyable two day stay. The husband and wife proprietor s were friendly and charming. We had good recommendations for where to take dinner and the breakfasts were superb. Our room was well appointed and cosy. I look forward to my next visit.
