WOW! Knockdow house offers luxury self-catering apartments in a grand country house, set in beautiful grounds and with the fantastic scenery of the Cowal Peninsula as a backdrop. Knockdow House is the imposing former home to Clan Lamont and has delightful accommodation packed full of period features, all finished to an exceptional standard. it’s also the perfect place for hosting an exclusive wedding or family gathering. Fatima was really friendly and helpful and we loved this 5 star experience.

Trotz sehr kurzfristiger und spontaner Anmeldung konnten wir eine sehr atmosphärische und luxuriöse Unterkunft in diesem wunderbar gelegenen Haus buchen. Obwohl wir nur zwei Übernachtungen dort blieben, sind die entstandenen Eindrücke einfach nur schwer zu beschreiben. Die Eigentümer kümmerten sich sehr liebevoll und unterstützend um uns und unsere kleinen Wünsche, angefangen vom Frühstück (wir kamen erst spät an und hatten noch nichts eingekauft) bis hin zur Planung der zwei Tage Aufenthalt. Stewart und seine Frau gaben uns Hinweise auf örtliche Sehenswürdigkeiten, die wir wohl ohne diese Tips nie gesehen hätten. Alleine die Fahrt durch die Bergen anch Glasgow war unglaublich beeindruckend. Jeenfalls haben wir uns fest vorgenommen, diesen Urlaub zu wiederholen, aber dafür viel mehr Zeit einzuplanen. Vielen herzlichen Dank an dieser Stelle an Stewart!
