Stopped here for four nights. Its frontage is directly on the Esplanade with great views of the Loch. There is a garden in the front with seats and benches. It has been recently decorated, etc, with an extremely pleasant dining room and bar area's with a veranda overlooking the Loch. The room that we had was a family room on the ground floor. It was clean and tidy with a good bathroom. There was a television and tea and coffee making facilities. Dunoon town centre is a ten minute walk away. All of the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. I would recommend
Me and my friend came here for the weekend.nThought the rooms were spotless and the staff very friendly.nBreakfast was delish.nAlso the views as you walk out of the hotel is a plus every morning.n10 min walk to the shops but can jump the bus if you don’t drive.nWould absolutely come back !!
Lovely location and the views are stunning . Everyone really polite and helpful and everything clean.nnThe dining room chairs getting very tatty and the breakfast had been sitting for a while I think and not even the toast was fresh.nnI have given four starts as the staff were good and that view!!nnWorst thing and a bit inexcusable really was the mattress . Don’t think I have been in a worse one. Could actually feel the springs !nnEasy enough to get that extra star though , new mattress , recover the chairs and cook at release some of the breakfast fresh.nnDon’t let it put you off though, Dunoon is absolutely lovely
The rooms may need a bit of TLC but the food and the service was top notch. Our waiter was very attentive and may sure which foods were suitable for my wife's allergies. The arrival of the haggis being piped in by a traditional Piper in full regalia was superb. The elephant loving owner made us very welcome and if we are ever back in Scotland we will definitely be visiting her establishment again.
Located out of town in Dunoon, city centre is a 10 min walk away. Service is good. Rooms are adequate, and my room was a single room, so it was quite small. It is not conveniently located but a good place to be.
