Stayed over for a wedding along with a friend. Due to the timing and the event, we arrived very late. Extremely grateful checking us in the early hours. The rooms were lovely and clean. Special thanks to Kristine for serving us a well needed delicious locally-sourced breakfast! Couldn’t recommend this place more for their impeccable care for each guests and high standards.
A lovely B&B in a quiet area, located on the seafront with wonderful views of Rothesay Bay, Loch Striven and Argyll coastline towards Toward Point. Well located for either ferry service to mainland. Lovely breakfasts each day and Kristine very attentive to any requests. Would definitely look to stay at St Ebba again if in the area in future Rooms: Well appointed and spacious. Beware of low sloping ceiling on top floor!! Nearby activities: Well located for ferry services. Bute us small - everywhere is nearby!!!
We stayed here for a week. The room was very spacious and clean with a great sea view, and the Scottish breakfast was very good. Kristine was helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I would recommend St. Ebba to anyone visiting Bute!Rooms: 5/5
I was able to book my room with very short notice, and was very grateful to be offered a large double room for the price of a single. The room itself was beautifully laid out with a very comfortable king size bed, wardrobe and drinks tray. The shower was of good size with a powerful hose a nice hot water. Breakfast was offered with plenty to choose from, and when prepared was cooked perfectly. The dining room has a stunning view and the service was impeccable. Overall I had a great stay and will definitely return on my next visit to Bute. Thank you Kristina.
Fabulous stay, Kristine, so helpful and welcoming, so many little details that were just lovely. Breakfasts were superb, very comfortable room and bed. Fantastic shower. And the views!!! Wow!!! Definitely going back and can recommend to everyone. Rooms: Very comfortable, superb shower, Walkability: 20 minutes walk into centre Food & drinks: Breakfast- superb
Really enjoyed my stay here. Room was beautiful and spotlessly clean. Service was great. Lovely location, near the ferry and beautiful scenery from the front of the house.Rooms: 5/5
I have stayed at St Ebba many times over the years and am returning again this summer. Kristine is always very welcoming and the rooms are clean, quiet and good value. It's an easy walk along the seafront into town, and well-placed as a base if you're planning to drive about the island. Delicious breakfasts in the morning and lovely sea views. If you're very lucky you might even see a seal outside the window at breakfast!
Had a three night stay here as I was competing in the 10k run at the Highland games. Excellent venue, the view from my spacious, and extremely comfortable room was superb. Great choice available for breakfast. Friendly, helpful owner and staff. I have paid a lot more for a lot less. Faultless.
Just stayed here for 3 nights and what an absolute pleasure, clean, lovely b&b, bed was very comfy, room was perfect and great shower... Breakfast was fabulous, from local . kristine who runs the b&b is a lovely lady, also the lady serving us breakfast sorry i didn't catch her name. We are defenetly going to be staying again when we next book to visit the island. Highly recommend, it is walking distance, but if getting a taxi a taxi was approx £4-£5 into center Square area. I wish I'd of taken more photos. I will next time.
Booked two rooms for 3 nights for a family of 5. They had us on the first floor and the third floor. No view for any of us but we had a 3 night stay. I don't understand how you run a B&B and let 6 nights of income with a family split that far and no view. We should have been better cared for. On top of that, the entire house is full of spiders. My kids were freaked out to the point of making all of uncomfortable. One night I had my head against the headboard and my son yelled from across the room SPIDER... It actually came onto my hair. Very clean other than the spiders. The woman who runs it is nice but overwhelmed, it seemed. I don't know her situation but she seems unhappy. The breakfast was good but the pancakes are frozen. The location is great.
