Very good place to drink and eat. We were served very friendly and quickly. Even the perfect German SPEZI was served and that is a very great art.
A historic Dublin Pub long asdociated with Irish Revolutionary and military leader Michael Collins. Set on a corner of very busy social junction where the traveller is spoiled for choice. This pub has everything, history, culture, heritage, a nice mix of traveller and local socialiser. An unassuming pub where conversation is key. Beverages are not excessive, served with a smile and if you want a bite to it, its good stuff too.
Very nice pub. I had the bangers and mash and it was very nice. Interesting history of the pub as well.Food: 4/5
Kind and accommodating staff!! Kitchen was closed but the chef was still around so they made me a “traditional Irish stew” Tried my first ever Guinness here ;
Excellent experience, the food it’s absolutely delicious! Best Irish Stew I’ve ever tasted! I do highly recommend it , we will certainly be back again :
One of the oldest pubs in Dublin, it is well worth the visit for a pint. This pub has less of the 'local' vide that you will get in other historical pubs but still has a nice 'oldy' atmosphere. I enjoyed it.Service: 5/5
Lovely Lovely old pub..great atmosphere. Everyone willing to converse with you. The staff are incredibly efficient even when it's busy..which is most of the time. The ladies room is located on the 1st floor so it's a keeper in my mind. I will always stop in when I am in the area.
Didn't get to try the food but it did look good going by. Drinks are good and has a good atmosphere. Felt like one or two staff members didn't want to be there tho they looked bord. One person kept rubbing his hair back every 2 min and then serving pints in between. Didn't wash there hands or anything. Thought it was gross.Service: 1/5
Plenty of beer choices on tap, sport on the TV and the staff taking care of you makes for a great pub. Seems to have been there for many years and still retains its charm. Gets busy so get in quick! A seat at the bar always appeals, and there are hooks under the bar for your coats and bags.
Absolutely amazing service the lads are so lovely , had the Irish stew for the first time here and couldn’t have enough of it , very aromatic and they serveeddd , thank you the Old stand definitely coming back
