Fantastic traditional bar serving Guinness so good I had to have a second to be sure. I wasn’t wrong!! A definite 11/10 Visit this brilliant bar every time you are in Dublin, it’s memorable, friendly and what a traditional bar should be.
A small room traditional old pub. I stopped for a Guiness late at noon time. I asked for finger food to pair my beer only to be told that no food is served. Very few people around and much quiet site at this time. A few people were sipping their drinks sitting on stools next to a couple of black barrels in a small yeard at the entrance door. Walls are painted in dark colors and fully covered by pictures and ads signs. I was impressed by the decorative tiles behind the bar! I hope place is more vivid at a later time within the day. If you are fan of the Thin Lizy irish rock group take a photo of the Phil Lynott bronze statue just opposite the pub entrance door. Dietary restrictions: No food served in this palce.
I have always liked this wee bar. Staff are very friendly and the stout is good. It's a great place for post-match pints, whether it be football, rugby or soccer.Service: 5/5
Another traditional Irish pub in central Dublin. Guinness was excellent, funnily enough. Staff very friendly and just a fun feelingService: 5/5
Good location but pub is a dump. There’s traditional and a bit run down but this place is just filthy. Nothing nice about the place. Wasn’t packed but every table full of glasses. Toilets were manly. Place needs a good clean. Drank our 4 beers €29 and left. Would never go back.
Passed by here earlier & called in as I haven't been here for a very, very long time. It's a lovely pub and the barman was pleasant. Had to leave after one pint, though. The place was freezing . No heat on. Nice pub otherwise.
Dropped in for a nightcap or two after dinner Saturday evening. Cosy little spot just off Grafton St. Very friendly staff & close to Luas & Taxis when you're ready to head home. Will definitely be back.
Really great place- despite being off such a busy street, when we went in there it was empty I'm sure it's busier later in the evening! but this was a plus for us. Very kind bartender and fantastic Guiness of course! Highly recommend. We went there on my Dad's recommendation and he hasn't been there for decades, so clearly it has held up a good standard.
Cute old pub with a great view out the window see pic!
Institution in Ireland. Old school pub. Don't expect neon lights and dance music, this place is for pint drinkers, no sloppy drunks. Had a couple of pints of Guinness which were very bitter. Might just have been a bad day for it, so I would go back. Could do with a wipe of a cloth. History doesn't equal dirt. Good door man on duty last night, kept the place busy but no messers.
