Arrived at 9.08. Kitchen closes at 9pm - or at least no further orders. We asked what food was available food must be available to serve alcohol we were offered crisps. We had a pint and a cocktail, a few bags of crisps and left. A shame really, as the pub is beautiful. Staff are not that friendly.
Brilliant pub. I was part of a large group which ate here and we were allocated a room to ourselves. We had pre-ordered our meals so we didn't have too wait long to be served. Everyone commented how delicious and well cooked their food was. I would definitely recommend reading there. Good efficient service, friendly staff and great food.
Pleasant, attentive and welcoming staff. Good array of drinks and lovely delicious food served in this quaint, unique, delightful pub & restaurant by the waters edge at Wareham. We'll with a visit, and so beautiful in a sunny day.
This is a truly lovely pub and bar. Great to eat and chill out. Also cracking place to watch the sun go down. Attractive place to look at inside and out and on the rivers edge one to impress friends or just chill with your partner or on your own.
The food in this place was really good. My wife and daughter had pork belly and I had a fried sea bream. My daughter is still talking about the pork belly. Good service, good beers and cocktails, lovely afternoon.
Ordinary food - I was disappointed both with vegetarian choices and quality of food. Burgers are imitation meat which makes it feel store bought. Sweet potato fries were nice. Soup was quite ordinary while the accompanying bread did not feel like sourdough. They might be popular for meat dishes but vegetarian didn't feel like their thing. Id however recommend their forum lager Nice location, great ambience and views. People were friendly, nice cosy place which makes you want to visit. Outdoor seating available. The place tends to be very busy, make sure you book or reserve. Parking available. Good place for an evening dinner by the water but not so great for vegetarians
Excellent menu & location. Impressed with the vegetarian selection. The bbq mushroom tacos were delicious! Staff very friendly too.
This place is amazing, right on the river, so a beautiful setting. Wonderful staff and amazing food and drinks.
We have visited the Old Granary previously, for lunch and for dinner, and enjoyed both. On this visit, although the majority of our meals were tasty, however, one, the risotto was very dry with rice stuck together! Although the crab pasta was tasty, some of the pasta tasted dry and a bit overcooked. It seemed that it might have been waiting under some lights/heat source. The staff were all friendly, polite and helpful, The starter was delivered in good time with 3 or 4 staff helping to deliver to the table. However the time between the delivery of the starter and the main was almost an hour which was disappointing.
Lovely lunch. Nice atmosphere. Low summer sun blinds you in the main bar area.
