Great location, very nice jamaican food and a decent selection of beers. It's well worth a visit as the view from the garden is fantastic. Your mileage will vary with the food depending on what you order but I always found it decent.Service: 4/5
Very nice looking pub in a great old building. Incredible views from the back garden. Decent enough selection of drinks for this type of place and really good, traditional, pub grub. Huge portions and priced as you'd expect in this day and age. Service at the bar possibly a little slow due to staff numbers but food was quick to arrive. Toilets letting the side down, small for the size of pub scruffy, a bit like the Somme after a busy afternoon and a broken toilet seat in the men's.
I have visited this awesomely located pub several times over the last ten years, eating as well as liquid refreshment! Hand on heart, every subsequent visit has increased in poor service, and quality of food. The last visit we were served by an extra of the Adams family bolt through the nose with zero interest of customers or service. The food is OK, used to be brilliant Bye bye Scott’s arms, you’ve lost a local. I guess you’re a tourist trap only pub now.
Food is average pub food but for us did the job. The place is worth visiting for the views alone. Absolutely breathtaking. Go! You won’t regret it!Service: 3/5
A charming building and a wonderful situation overlooking Corfe Castle. We only went for a meal and didn't stay. Like many businesses it's been a difficult time through Covid followed by bad summer weather in the school holidays. VERY well worth supporting so that the asset is preserved for future generations! Great food, service AND view! Would recommend nipping along the westerly road out of Kingston to the Swyre Head Car Park and taking the 5-10 minute walk through the sheep-filled field, of the Encombe Estate, until you get to the ridge where there's a lovely view of Encombe house and the beautiful countryside. Wonderful location with top views. Staff friendly and helpful, menu varied and food was very good. We live in Australia, but my sister and husband xx will definitely come back and are recommending the venue to their many friends.Service: 5/5
Lively place to have a pit stop. With breath taking views of the local area. Its fog friendly too. Jamaican jerk shack offers great food freshly prepared. The curry muttan is delicious! Local beers and ciders on tap. A great atmosphere and lovely staff too. Highly recommend a stop here.Service: 5/5
We went today to catch up with family very busy weather perfect and half term. The guy behind the bar was under lots of pressure but kept very calm. Obviously struggling to get staff as lots of Hospitality. Food came quickly considering number of orders they must have had. Could not fault food for Pub Food and service was good under pressures. The public need to be a little more patient or should work in hospitality for a month they may be a little more understanding. James
Nice pub with a lovely large garden but let down by food. I ordered a burger, and for £17.95 I was expecting a really decent burger. What I got was a tiny piece of chicken that was clearly not prepared in house frozen I assume as it was completely flat and rectangular on a very small bun. There was so much mayonnaise inside the burger that I had to scrape most of it out in order to eat it. The chips were overcooked and hard, although the single onion ring was quite nice. I would have happily eaten this burger if I'd paid a tenner in a chain pub, but to serve this up and charge 18 quid for it is just ridiculous. The cider was good and the food from the jerk shack which was being prepared on site looked nice so maybe try that instead.
The view from the beer garden gets 5 stars. Unfortunately though, this pub does not take allergies and intolerances seriously. If you have any dietary complications, stick the the view with a drink. There are plenty of other great places to eat locally who do take these issues seriously. Food & drinks: Menu lacks detail of meal ingredients. Staff do not take allergies and intolerances seriously.
