Really helpful Scottish chap served us. We hadn't booked but he got us a table straight away. Drink and food orders taken really quick which was perfect. Food was served really fast as well. Good selection on the menu for adults and kids. When the food came it was perfect portion sizes. Nice atmosphere, great play area and seating outside as well. All in all 10/10
The Halfway Inn is a cozy and comfortable pub. Its a great place for a hearty meal on the way back from Corfe Castle. We’d order the scampi, fish& chips and pie and we really enjoyed it! I felt the food in general lacked a bit of salt but haven’t got anything else to complain about. The staff were very friendly too.
Overall would recommend this place to eat. The food is very good and the portions are great. It is rather pricey for what it is though. The drinks prices are very high in comparison to other pubs. Service is good and felt very welcomed by staff. Dining in the room with the exposed brick walls has a lovely atmosphere, if you eat here ask to eat in this room. Tables are a good size but the chairs are a bit uncomfortable and could perhaps do with replacing. There are a couple of tables that have a narrow bench seat that is in the window, this is quite narrow and can fit two people although it is a bit tight, and it is cold to sit here in the winter due to the draft through the windows. Overall would eat here again and would recommend. As I said, food is brilliant, so delicious! Thank you
As the name suggests this is a good halfway stop for a bit of food or drink. Decent pub offering food during the daytime. Nice beer garden, good inside space and a good variety of food options. I wouldn't say it was fantastic, the food was nice without being exceptional. Great staff though and very friendly.
Today we stopped by, looking for a Sunday roast- the manager did her best to find us a table although it was very busy. The roast beef was pink and tender- just as I love it. Veggies were cooked well and potatoes were delicious. Highly recommend the food. Could do with the “social distance “ stickers being removed from the floor, but otherwise a good visit.
Very nice remote country pub, located near the iconic Blue pool. Half way between Wareham and Corfe Castle Ita a lovely watering hole and very popular spot. Good beers an food! A little pricey, but the quality makes it worth it Always an enjoyable visit
Had the pleasure of stopping here for dinner and was extremely grateful for the service provided by both Hannah the hostess and Damir the manager. It just so happened it was Hannah's first day but the professionalism shown by both was exceptional. Great place, with both open garden and enclosed patio included. Food is great too so all in all a great place. Well done.
Nice pub with friendly staff. We sat in the large beer garden. Currently there is table service. Good selection of food. No WiFi. Dog friendly.
What a terrible experience, we went there for Monday for a late lunch. I'll start with the positives, fast service and happy staff but that's it. We ordered a ploughman's and a open chicken sandwich. I didn't realise until I started eating my sandwich that is was actually just a salad. Didn't bother to mention anything as I enjoy salads, but this one was terrible. Cold chicken, some mixed leaves and barely any cucumbers or tomatoes think about 3 pieces of each. It was okay, nothing really special and definitely something that I could of made better at home. The real shock horror was that the salad was £17... this I didn't notice either until I paid and left. All in all, a very over priced pub and definitely wouldn't return nor recommend. Also before the owner replies to this and says that its priced well for the location, it really isn't, you're on the side of an A road but by thr beach etc...
