We didn't stay but used the bar/restaurant We were able to be accommodated on a busy Saturday evening after being at a dance schools show and would have been too late to cook on getting home. We had a selection of meals from the menu, steak, fish, pizza and pie which each of us really enjoyed. The service was great and staff friendly and helpful. Would recommend and will definitely be returning. Thank you
Dropped in for steak night. Buy one get second for £1. Cook yourself on hot stone. Great fun and great steak. Extractor fans could not quite keep up with the smoke as some customers like theirs well done. Overall good beer, good food, great night.Rooms: 5/5
We only had lunch here so don't know anything about the rooms, and the food was actually good. I would say the location is perfect. Although I am not a bread expert, but it didn't seem like sourdough bread to me. Service: 4/5
Really nice welcoming pub. Staff were very friendly and quick with service. Didn’t have to wait too long for food either. Food was tasty but cod and chips a little pricey at £17. Overall a good experience.
Just been to the Quay Inn in wareham and what a great pub. Great location, and fantastic staff. We were looked after by Terri and Kat who were really friendly. Just what a pub needs. My wife had the vegan burger which was delicious and the sweet potato fries were done perfect. I had cod and chips and it was probably the best I've ever had. Well done to all concerned and keep up the fantastic work
Went here for an evening meal, and had booked a table but we were 30mins early, greeted with a warm welcome, and taken over to our table with no fuss. We were served by two lovely ladies, who were friendly, polite and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely spot on, cannot fault the quality or taste, would definitely recommend, a proper traditional pub with plenty of local beer/cider on tap. Will defo be coming back!!
We Booked a table for 3pm for the 11/03/23. Travelled from Poole via taxi for a family meal, to arrive and be told we didn’t have a booking… We showed our call log to confirm the date and time we called, and spoke to a male, who asked if we’d need a high chair for a the meal, and he took our full name and contact number for the booking . The whole time the lady behind the bar just kept pointing at the computer screen, saying no booking on here, and staring at us blankly like we were barking mad. Barely an apology, let alone any way to try and accommodate us, her attitude quite frankly was poor, and a couldn’t care less approach . Luckily we were able to get a table at a place opposite. But what an embarrassing experience! Plus having a hungry 3 year old in tow, not impressed at all! This experience is a shame, as we have had many meals here over the years. What’s annoyed me the most is the way it was handled, plus the abysmal lack to rectify it. Customer service clearly isn’t a priority. Food & drinks: Didn’t get any!
Booked a table for 9 on Friday turned up early but staff were very accommodating. Food was scrummy , staff attentive ..great place Highly recommend .Service: 5/5
Thought we’d treat ourselves to breakfast on Sunday 15th Jan 2023! It was diabolical. I had full English my partner had poached eggs! It was dry, over cooked and a total waste of money! Never had such a poor breakfast. It looked like it had been cooked an hour before it was served! Can’t believe the had the nerve to bring it out! Free tea and a top up was also offered and got neither! Save your money and go elsewhere or get your 10 year old to cook you breakfast at home - it will be better.
