The only place open on a bank holiday Monday, serving some insane quantities of food. Honestly don't be scared by the price because the quantity of food is MASSIVE. The staff were super welcoming and we loved that they served a roast for the day - it did not let us down.
Bloody good food, really generous sized portions and really friendly staff. Dog friendly in the bar too which was a brilliant plus for us. Bit too chilly when we were there to check out the beer garden but I bet it's absolutely banging on a sunny day. Can't wait to come back.
Great location to visit Corfe Castle 1.5 miles and Wareham a short drive away. Did a camper stopover, free if you have a meal which was tasty. 24hr loos.
Unfortunately we had a not nice experience. We supposed to stay for 2 night but left after the first. Campsite on a slope apart the couple of spots down the bottom which are the first to be taken. Had pork belly even if overpriced and was dry and tasteless same the black pudding. My misses had fish and she said good but not what expected for the price. A cocktail £12.50... The couple behind the bar was quite grumpy and confused. And would had be nice to offer the camping for free after we stayed for dinner. As I said not a good memory
We spent one night pitched up behind the New Inn and decided to make the most of the restaurant. The food was fantastic! Fish pie full of salmon, cod and a creamy sauce. The slow roasted Pork Belly was out of this world... Pork was beautifully cooked and the crackling sublime. Caramelised red onion topped mash with black pudding and fresh vegetables made this one the best meals out in years. Highly recommended and well worth a visit whether you're looking for a quiet pitch to camp or just a meal. Wonderful *****
Well I live nearby and have eaten at the New Inn regularly in the past few years. I particularly enjoy the freshly grilled or baked fish and the sensational cod mornay. It does get busy here on weekends but the service is always friendly and helpful. A great local pub/restaurant. Update- visited again yesterday and had wonderful new Lobster Thermidor - delicious with new potatoes. Thank you
Whow what a great place for a meetup lively fun and music.Atmosphere: 5/5
Lovely tasting food, served hot and in wonderful surroundings. Staff polite and friendly
Excellent service and a wide range of great food, from delicious slow roast pork belly, to moreish pies, to a wide range of fresh locally caught seafood dishes. Also, cute cats.Food: 5/5
Arrived at 2pm on a Saturday after a good walk to find the kitchen had already closed. The food prices were in fact on the high end after reviewing the menu anyway. In addition the pub is fairly dingy and looks well worn. Good as a local pub but wouldn't recommend as a 'tourist' stop.
