Nice and warm cosy back street proper pub, two bars smart and comfortable, real ale buffs will love well kept Timothy Taylor. Love the old Sherlock Holmes memorabilia and lack of TVs, this a great pub so lacking these days and a walk away from another good pub The Golden Eagle. Worth checking out. Update May 2024, still a warm welcome and great ale.
A fantastic family run local pub. A fine "old school" pub with original features. A great local crowd always keeps the atmosphere alive. They have live music, darts board, pool tables and a large garden. Decent selection of alcoholic drinks. Staff are always very friendly and attentive.
This pub is great. All staff are incredibly welcoming and there is always a great atmosphere. The pub has two main areas , one, more quiet front area for that relaxed point and a larger area on the otherwise of the front bar, with a pool table and day board. Regular events are held and the pub benefits from a large enclosed garden with cover
One of my favourite pubs of our holiday. Great cask ale & nibbles, plus darts made for a great night. Highly recommend Service: 5/5
Really decent boozer. I've never really spent much time here, however recently I've had a lovely few evenings down here. The bar staff were welcoming, the pub was clean and tidy, and the ale was on par. My only criticism is the lack of selection of real ale. The night I visited it was either Timothy Taylors wasn't too bad actually and Langhams Arapaho, which was lovely to see. Worth noting that the atmosphere was pleasant on a weekend evening, no coked up nippers doing your nut in! All consider I'll be visiting a lot more.
This is just a fantastic pub. The people who run it are just lovely. It's such a friendly place to relax and have a drink. Plenty of space too. I don't know if they do food, I've never asked but if they did .....it would be the totally perfect 'local'!
It's a lovely pub it's very freindly here reasonable prices for the drinks they provide snacks and would recommend anyone to go there
Really friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. Pool table was of a high standard as well. Looking forward to returning again when not driving as the beer selection seemed very good!
Lounge bar very quiet. You can have a conversation. Do go here for the wine, possibly the worst I've ever tastedFood: 4/5
Perfect pub. Have been coming here for years. Pub quizzes and adaptability for functions. Staff are friendly and good at what they do... will also challenge you to a game of pool if you think you're good enough. Can't fault it!
