great bands play there but very unfriendly environment for younger people. Not the crowd it attracts but more the bar staff and bouncers being very mean and demeaning and hurtful towards younger people. for example people getting kicked out after falling over and cutting their hands. whilst yes I see the point of people making to much noise when standing outside smoking however for some reason the beer garden is only prohibited for performers. all in all would've been a great however ruined by people hurting my feelings. however would go again to see my mates in great bands such as Moleman and the moon pies, suono and the red also enjoyed but not as much collector however will give 2 stars instead of 1 due to impeccable toilet facilities.
Every time I go to The Cellars at Eastney I get to enjoy a great variety of live music, in a friendly place. Steve on the sound desk is amazing at getting all the musicians to sound their best. Certainly more than a pub; it feels more like a members club for lovers of live music.
Good sound, good beer, good staff, good music.
