This place is huge and beautiful... The attention to detail on the decor has to be seen to be appreciated... Multiple levels of seating and even a large meeting room with large dining table. Photos show some of the fantastic decor and how lovely and clean the whole venue was. The size of this pub would easily accommodate a large wedding party or special occasion.
Absolutely beautiful food, brilliant staff, oh the cauliflower cheese is to die for. The cheese sauce is outstanding best I've had. Desserts were great. Food was hot when we got it. Definitely will be returning
Lovely local pub. Even better now it's dog friendly finally! Had many family events here but also great to go for a pint and watch the football. Sunday roast is also great and reasonably priced. Child friendly too. Definitely recommend
Great atmosphere and the food was divine. Great job from the chefs. Sarah who was our waitress was amazing. We couldn't of asked for a better service on valentines day. We will be back very soon.
Waited one and a half hours for meal. Was told at the beginning out of 4 starters only 2 were available, no pork and was running out of chicken. When meal arrived the special order for somebody who has allergies was contaminated by the food she is not allowed to eat. Out of 7 meals the five chicken dinners had no stuffing and the one with no gravy had gravy All in all pretty poor but what was served was nice.
Nice pub I side. Service from Sarah was very good. Food very nice and plentiful. I had chicken curry. I visited with my two sisters on 7th December and hope to visit again sometime when visiting Ashford. I'd recommend.
I’ve never not ordered a dessert because I wasn’t prepared to be disappointed for a third time in a row. Many of the choices on the menu were not available which was disappointing, leaving only the vegetarian option, a roast dinner or a burger. Non of which appealed to me. I actually felt sorry for the waitress who was kind and attentive but couldn’t make up for the lack lustre food neither the starter or burger were served with a salad and were both quite dry and unappetising. Again, it’s a shame because it’s a lovely place which is let down by the food.
Good food, excellent service. A pleasurable lunch time. The restaurant was packed and we still had a very good service. Will go again
Now under new management. Food lovely and plentiful and quick service. Large pub with loads of sofas and chairs giving it that cosy feel. Nice atmosphere. Will definitely be a regular.
We’ve been twice now, and both times had the Sunday roast. I have to say it’s one of the best roasts we have ever had. Beautifully cooked, and the side of cauliflower cheese is to die for. Plus the service is impeccable. I’d totally recommend.
