The pub is remote. Not easy to find. The room was comfortable, clean with good en suite. We were charged £20 more than originally advertised The staff in the evening were friendly , helpful and attentive. Food was adequate but not homemade or great value. The breakfast was disappointing. Service was not great we had to ask for everything. If 3 dishes contain poached eggs then it is a good idea to get a chef that can cook them. The yolks were solid and the white rubbery. such a shame as looked lovely. No toast!!! Upon checking out they managed to find something they had 'missed ' off our bill that was settled the previous night. Would not recommend and won't be returning. I know it is dog friendly but for a place serving food there should be some areas that are dog free for those that are not dog fanatics.
Gorgeous pub in the Kentish countryside with fantastic walks nearby. We visit regularly and are always welcomed by friendly staff who would do anything for you especially Sandy!. Have eaten here on a number of occasions and have always thought the food was delicious, good quality and fairly priced. I've never seen the rooms here but the bar always seems full of content travellers from afar. Oh and they have an AWESOME beer festival here in the summer.
Have just returned from two nights at bowl Inn. We had a great welcome, and the staff were delightful, and very helpful. Food was good and our bedroom was fine and very warm. All in all a very experience. Flowers on all the tables was a nice touch. If I wanted to be really picky, it would have been good to have something in the shower to take the soap, flannel etc.
Normally, I would watch the property for several weeks before a review just to get a feel of the place using night vision equipment but the reckless side of me decided I should just walk in and buy a pint. A man sitting near me resembled some kind of South American rodent maybe a capybara or similar species. Very unusual for Kent especially as there were no large bodies of water nearby. Keep up the good conservation work.
Fantastic stay, would highly recommend. The staff are amazing. As a woman staying on her own, felt safe and well looked after. Will definitely return soon. Thank you.Rooms: 5/5
Had a really lovely weekend staying at the Bowl. They welcomed my dogs, the staff are friendly and helpfull. Food, beer and rooms excellent. Highly recommend a stay.Rooms: 5/5
Great to range of quality food. As a vegan I was very happy too. Attentive and polite staff. Negative don't accept American Express, which I expect to pay by when dining out. Many business people use Amex and you should start to accept it.Rooms: 5/5
DO NOT take any notice of the previous poor reviews. We were apprehensive of staying here because of the reviews we read. It was a fantastic stay, good food, good accommodation and the staff were lovely. Would have given ten stars if I could.Rooms: 5/5
What a brilliant place! I stayed for one night while working in the area, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great beer, great food, lovely room, very comfortable bed, very quiet and peaceful location, and last but by no means least wonderful staff who were so friendly and helpful. I took the “takeaway” breakfast option as I had an early start and it too was fabulous and plentiful sausage, bacon and tomato baguette . I can’t speak highly enough of The Bowl Inn, and will definitely stay here again, either next time I’m working in the area or even for a few days away so I can explore Kent. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Thank you The Bowl Inn, my stay with you was excellent.
The Bowl Inn was a nice old build the rooms were very nice the dinner was a disaster the Fish Cake starter was lukewarm.. the main Course Fish and Chips the fish was very greasy it would have been better with fresh chips but came with frozen oven chips desert they couldn't mess up ice cream to finish the meal off we decided on Liquor Coffee the cups were huge but you couldn't taste the Irish Whiskey or the Tia Maria my birthday meal was an unmitigated disaster we will not be going back, on their plus side the breakfast was excellent so much so I left a Tip for the waitress
