Great neighbourhood pub. The evening we went was an open mic night I think so it was especially fun. I stopped by with my 3 kids. They thought the many dogs in the pub was the best thing out there.
What a lively place! Good music, friendly staff including the dog on his sofa and the cat on the bar in it's box! There is a wide variety of liquor and beer, a pool table and a great atmosphere.
An amazing local the best pint I have had in some time. It’s really nice to experience a pub that is run with professionalism and they know how to keep their ale
My wife was watching a show at the Stratford Playhouse I went to this local hostelry. The staff were friendly and made me feel welcome. Asked me if I was ok etc. Pint was good and tasty. If I'm in Stratford again I will pass by again. Nice pub.
We were warmly greeted at this pub on Saturday to celebrate a birthday. The staff and other guests were all very friendly and welcoming. We were privileged to see James Schofield and his band who were amazing talented musicians who knew how to work the room!! Thank you for a wonderful evening, I will keep an eye out for James as I think he will go far!
Brilliant atmosphere and the singer Phoebe was brilliant, had everyone singing and clapping. The staff were very nice and welcoming and drinks came to the table promptly. Drinks were on the pricier side however you can expect that in Stratford. Will be coming here again!
Used to be the Sportsmans Arms in the 80's. Tidy locals pub. Taken over several times and used to be well run and comfortable in the noughties. Now seems to be plumbing the depths with loud music. Used to serve real ale but didn't see any this visit. Can't imagine the neighbours are happy. Also used to be in the gbg. Based on my experience I can't recommend it unless you like that style of pub. Probably the last time I will ever visit.
Found this friendly locals pub and glad we did. Received a very warm welcome and the Real Ales well kept. Well worth a return visit.
Visited Saturday, 31st October. Staff and locals are friendly. Enjoyed the evening watching Jamie Schofield & JSB. Excellent and we will certainly visit again.
Fab pub run by friendly people. Ignore the usual expensive tourist pubs and try this "local" in Bull Street, Stratford on Avon. Even the piped music is good!
