Excellent from start to finish. We visited for Valentine's Day. The food was really good. Nice sized portions, tasty and a varied menu. We had a lovely table by the window overlooking the River Avon & the boats. The service was also excellent. I would highly recommend and would definitely visit again.
Absolutely fantastic. Why? A lovely clean pub, friendly staff, and a great menu. They have a separate vegan menu which is fantastic. I had the mezze Flatbread which was superb see pic. My sister had the fish and chips which was enormous see pic. Everything about our visit was superb, including the drinks. This might be our go-to location especially with a range of vegan and vegetarian options as well as many of the usual meaty classics!
Stopped in for a Sunday roast. We had a reservation, but restaurant was busy if you just popped in. Parking is on the street. Service was attentive and friendly. Enjoyed the roast beef, chicken, and vegetarian roasts. Pork was sold out. Also, tried a side of cheesey cauliflower. All delicious and served hot. Adult beverages are available. Dining area are inside on two levels, plus on a patio outdoors. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous. We enjoyed the meal and recommend this restaurant.
Popped in at 8.30 this evening looking to grab some dinner, had never been into the Encore before…..have to say we were extremely impressed & will definitely be making another visit! We both ordered the dirty burger, I can honestly say it’s up there as one of the best burgers we’ve ever had!! The beef dripping sauce was absolutely delicious. Staff were friendly & welcoming. We look forward to returning
Went for a family meal recently & thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food was very good and the cocktails were also decent. The highlight of the experience was our waiter/server Tom who really went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our time with them. 10/10 Tom thank you for making our time in the restaurant such an enjoyable experience with your knowledge, care & attention to detail.
We were so lucky to be able to eat here when we visited the Christmas Market on a Saturday. We didn’t have a reservation but we were the first in the door at 12pm and managed to get a lovely table for 5 by the window. Fantastic service even though they were very busy and the food was great.
We chose The Encore for Christmas Day Dinner this year, and we were very pleased that we did. We chose the extra special Christmas Dinner that gave us canapes, prosecco and cocktails at the end as an extra. The Encore is in great position overlooking the river in Stdatford Upon Avon, you can look across the river from the upstairs dining room. The food was delicious, and there was so much of it that we virtually rolled out when we left. The waiting staff were fantastic and very attentive. I reall cannot fault our experience.
I booked with only a few days notice for Christmas Lunch and they had a seating option for 3:30pm. Unfortunately, it was not the Christmas dining experience I'd hoped for. The whole experience is something I'd probably value at 60 GBP considering the day but we paid 90 GBP p/Hd - without even a drink. The beetroot & mulled wine tarte tatin was great but that was the highlight. The turkey main was like your usual Sunday roast. The cauliflower side was a good dish and probably would have served better with the turkey than the vegetables we got with it. Felt like more of a Christmas cash-grab while serving the usual food than the premium Christmas experience we were paying for. Our server was a great guy and he made the experience more enjoyable.
Gorgeous food, service impeccable, will definitely be returning. Within perfect distance of the Mecure Shakespear Hotel and the RSC. The cocktail I had was, I think, Tommy's Margarita A modern take on the classic Margarita. Tequila is shaken with agave and lime and served on the rocks. A M A Z I N G !
Wow, what an absolute delight!! Every mouthful was incredible. The service was just as good, we waited only a few seconds at the main entrance, our waiter upstairs was very polite and chatty and made our evening a lovely one. We had the prawns starter and pork main with a mini pud crumble to finish and it was all perfect. The French martini was really well made as was the latte at the end. Cannot wait to go back again.
