Came across this restaurant late Saturday night just before it closed. The staff was lovely and gave us a few suggestions. We ordered the chicken korma, chicken madras, lamb blast, rice, garlic nan, and popadoms with dips. I often feel that Brick Lane Indian restaurants can feel pre-cooked or reheated. This was great despite being at 11pm. It was lively and fast service. Really tasty, and perfect portion sizes. Great value for money, and received an additional 20% off. Would not hesitate to return if in the area again.
Will definitely be going back, not only for the food but also the staff. Our server was Chop and she was brilliant!!! She made sure all our group was happy and kept checking in to see how we were getting on. She was super friendly and definitely made our experience there a lot nicer. All the other staff were really attentive too. The food was amazing as always. We were celebrating a birthday and all the staff ensured that it was special for us. Would highly recommend this restaurant and will be back there soon.
Five stars all around. This is one of the few restaurants I've been to that accommodates guests past closing time. We went at almost 11pm, greeted warmly and assigned a table. We ordered our food at lightning speed and hats off to you for coming in 15 minutes. The taste was out of this world. Fast, friendly and professional service was the crown jewel of this restaurant during our visit. Keep up the great work guys.
The staff are very happy to accommodate us after arriving on a wet, rainy Wednesday morning. The level of this place is completely different from anything you have ever experienced. Starting with a wonderful meal but also a service. This is the best service I have ever received. The waiter and owner are lovely people and will work hard to provide you with unforgettable information. Best service No doubt at all! I'm totally impressed! He is definitely coming back!
It is embarrassing to get comprehensively scammed. The Google rating was outstanding; the first couple of reviews were excellent; and it touted its prizes. And Brick Lane should be the classic home of uk curry. On arriving it should have been clear that something was up. The front was not like the picture and it seemed to be called something else. But we were led in and shown a card with both names on it when we queried what was going on. Things went down hill… poppadoms were going to be plain and spicy but only plain turned up - which was the theme of the evening. Onion baji should be hard to get wrong - but was dry and tasteless. Prawn pakora - bland. Award winning ??? tikka fish curry - bland. Hardly spiced and no fresh herbs. Tarka daal - bland and watery. Channa marsala - bland. If you are scammed but the food is brilliant that’s one thing… Swift exit. Waiting for taxi outside it was clear there was a coordinated operation funneling people in from four different restaurants and accosting all passers by. Closer inspection showed up lots of recent reviews that were probably fake. There’s a lesson, probably.
Had a lovely dinner last night celebrating two birthdays. It was the perfect venue for it! Our waitress was super friendly and attentive and the drinks were amazing as well. Everyone must try the pork and lamb dishes since it was just mine blowing! The venue itself had a great ambience, so lively despite the covid situation and awful weather.
We were meant to go here a couple of years ago then the pandemic hit so it got delayed. It was tricky to book as it's so popular but we got a table for lunch and decided to each have a different tasting menu so we could try everything on offer. The service was brilliant, the food was sublime. The offer of a cheese course before the desserts was very welcome, and the selection of cheeses was great.
Great food and lovely ambience. Attentive fabulous cheeky staff. Food tasted great. Intense flavors and were intense. The green peas were also to die for. I would go back again everyday ! This place is amazing ! The spritz cocktail will be replicated many times at my house.Food: 5/5
Fantastic tasting menu with a great variety of amazing and really well balanced dishes. Great cocktails too. Loved the dining room facing the kitchen, couldn’t believe how calm all the chefs were! The waiting staff were really knowledgeable and friendly too, appreciating them suggesting wines that we might like that weren’t even on the menu.
Here made positive I had peace of thoughts while eating throughout my wedding ceremony, and their meals turned into remarkable to boot. They have a totally expansive menu that we picked from and that they furnished recommendation alongside the manner. They even allow us to do a couple of tastings, which turned into very generous. Overall can not suggest those men sufficient:
