The Moorings hotel is one of the most desirable hotels in the Scottish Highlands oofering the best in accomodation, wedding and conference facillities and Highland cuisine but don't take our word for it come along and experience the tranquillity and quality for yourselves.

Lovely room overlooking the canal. Restaurant has been spoiled by the addition of the 'bistro' cafe. Unfortunately it has lost atmosphere. Food has also declined and the young schoolgirl waiting staff are only interested in avoiding work. Shame really as we have enjoyed many stays here over the years but will not go again.

Excellent stay, we had the room with views over Ben Nevis. Eileen and the staff were very attentive, the breakfast was good having also a vegetarian choice. The surroundings are beautiful, you'll find the canal and forrest paths for walking & jogging all traffic free

The food is to die for, tastes of freshness. We had lunch and dinner here, sandwiches and soup of the day for lunch were very nice. Room is lovely, very clean, decor is nice and obviously new, bathroom very nice size considering our room size (we chose the standard double, we didn't expect much). I love the fluffy towels as well 💚!! All staff (from reception, bar staff to waiters) very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!

We had an executive room with beautiful views over the canal and Ben Nevis, the room was massive with lovely modern decor, was slightly disappointed that room only has a walk in shower and no bath. The food in the bistro was lovely but slightly over priced for what it was, breakfast had a great selection of cold meats, pastries, and cereal including gluten free as well as a choice of cooked hot breakfast items.

Great location, food very good but could do with a bit more choice when staying a few nights. Happy to recommend this place.
