Had a great stay , the staff were helpful and the room was all fresh decorated and the bathroom was beautiful..I was looking forward to a bath after traveling and the lovely receptionist gave me bath salts.... how thoughtful. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast lovely and hot
I don't know how to start, we stayed in many Premier Inn hotels, we know it can be a good hotel with good food, but if the management don't care...it will be a bad experience. I will start with the room, not clean enough,the bathroom, the same we had to buy bleach to use the toiletalso the restaurant managed very bad,we went there evening and morning breakfast. We paid for nothing... really bad breakfast... pffff don't go there.....shame, because Premier Inn can be really nice, clean and good food and drinks, definitly not this one! CHANGE THE MANAGEMENT!
Booked 3 nights but checked out after 2.nHotel is undergoing improvements but the room we were given were was run down!nCorridor carpet was filthy.nBedroom: Stained walls, damp smelling, dirty, heating left off had to switch on ourselves mould in bathroom, panel under sink fallen off, I fixed that for them hdmi socket under Tv damaged. Scorch marks on panelling where kettle sits. Low energy lightbulbs so lighting poor.nBreakfast was a buffet style but food was stone cold and not good! Asked about food and waitress said it was because hot counter was not working so food wasted as was not eaten. Several other guests complained also.nChecked in late on first night, stayed second thinking things might improve and cut our losses and left a day early.nOnline photos are very misleading and this should be explained to guests before booking as its clear not all rooms match the sales pitch.
Staff are super nice and very friendly, but the place is not run well. Restaurant was closed midway through stay due to there being no chef.nnNo sound proofing in the hotel at all you can hear everything. No I didn't hear any of thatnnThe rooms are ok but very dated and mine smelled of dirty laundry. Was a bit better after leaving the window open all night. The free wifi was speed tested at just a few kb. Basically there is no free wifi you have to pay.nnWas surprised to see the rooms are only cleaned if you ask. I suspect they there are not enough staff.nnIf you book at a price of around 60 quid it's fine, if you're paying premium price during busy periods be prepared to be disappointed.
Location excellent, just outside the centre of town. Not enough staff on during dinner service. 1 person covering the bar and same person acting as waitress. Chef had to bring food out himself. Rooms are a looking a little dated. Fine for 1 night.
