I saw Chloe the practice nurse and she was fantastic ,she listened and helped me out with my holiday vaccines ,a really bubbly and happy person we need more Chloe,'s in our healthcare ..x
Agree with the below reviews. Was told in order to get an appointment for my Dad who had a chronic infection and needed further antibiotics to make an appointment on the Ask my GP app. All afternoon the app wasn’t open. I go in person to the desk and ask to make an appointment. Again I get referred back to the Ask my GP app. I said it’s been offline most of the day and won’t let me make an app. They said I could make an appointment at 6AM the next morning when it comes back online, in which case I said, and what if I’m not up at 6AM? The following day, at 11AM I checked the app to make an appointment and the app was down again. Absolutely useless. The surgery has gone massively downhill in the last few years, in particular since the start of the pandemic and also when moving to the new healthcare centre. The receptionists and admin staff need ten reminders to make a referral and you need to ask umpteen times to get results of a blood test, even when the results have come back as abnormal. It’s like the ultimate aim of all staff is who can do the least work and get away with it. Hint: It’s very obvious and and the reminders in capitals asking the public not to make any kind of negative comment about the staff or to the staff merely just signals how many complaints they are receiving. We’re entitled to our freedom of speech and to complain when you’re clearly being negligent and not taking proper care of your patients.
Worst doctors in Ashton! Have to ring 60+ times to get through to anyone then when you do there’s never any appointments. Reception staff rude and unhelpful.
Like many surgeries post-covid Well, as "Post" as we're going to get they are struggling along with what seems to be semi-stringent anti contagion protocols. Protocols that seem to antagonise patients like continued mask wearing and a proclivity for tele-consults rather than face to face appointments. All that said, whether they agree with the protocols or not the ladies that run reception do a fine job. They cope with the antagonised patients well and keep a smile on their face when dealing with everyone else. I've seen them have to endure some really bad behaviour from patients. Behaviour that they should not have to experience.
I am.in extremely pain and went in clinic at 8am they given me phone consultation not face to face appointment which I needed that to be examine. Doctor called Me at 11am and listen to me for 2 min and was not willing to examine me on the day. What is going on??? Even doctors are not in the clinic and they are just handling everyone on the phone. Why can't reception give us face to face appointment I also explained her my situation but thats not fair How can they solve all the problems on the phone How can they become full at 11am and they can't see me ? Even doctors are not listening you as well. It used to be a helpful surgery but now the service is extremely disappointing and even though staff don't attend the phones.
Seen on time. Staff were warm and friendly. Excellent care provided by the staff nurse when removing my stitches.
If there is anybody who has taken advantage of the COVID-19 Pandemic in order to get away with doing very little, its Doctors. They never answer the phone, even though they say to call the surgery in an emergency? not my query type by the way. If they are only seeing a limited amount of people, what are they actually doing to stop them from being able to answer the phone?
Congratulations to Dr Shobha and her team. I was very sceptical regarding the ask My Gp app. Throughout this pandemic it has been such a support. It is easy to use and the response times from our practice receptionists and GP's has been exceptional. On every occasion that I or my family have had cause to use the My GP app we have spoken to a Doctor on the same day. The app is also very easy to use. More importantly though is the patience and support given by the receptionists and the Doctors. Thank you so much.
I have nothing but respect for the medicentre. Yes it's a pain to get through on the phones, but the staff are so nice, they're very efficient, everything gets sorted fast, the gps have rang back, often the same day, they've rung to say consultant wants more samples or they've issued a script and it's been sent to my nominated pharmacy.
Confused how is best to get an appointment?! You say my gp but that shuts every day from 3pm if not earlier?! Do I have to plan an ailment in for you to
