Monday 16 June with Dr Chopra.nJust want to say what an absolute pleasure to go to this hospital. My mum went for her appointment on 16th June, and I would like to say thank you to all the staff. The receptionist on arrival was friendly and attentive, and Dr Chopra is excellent and totally puts my mum at ease, makes the whole experience easy and comfortable. Many thanks to everyone
As a Consultant Nurse I have seen hospitals and rehabilitation centres from both sides. I have to say that I was completely dumbstruck by the care I received whilst there. I have a very serious illness and suffer from PTSD following being vented 19 times. The staff were were very thorough kind caring and empathetic. Nothing was too much trouble. Mary the domestic was very cheerful and thorough cleaning my room. I found myself looking forward to seeing her. All of the staff made you feel special and that nothing was too much trouble. I don't think staff that work in the care sector get the recognition they deserve. They work so hard dsy in day out and this includes everyone. I think it's a shame we can't show our staff just how much we value them and that we realise we couldn't run the wards etc without them. They all deserve a pay rise and a medal for for for what they do. If I become very poorly again and and need rehab. Newton Community hospital would be my first choice every time. Well done staff I would be proud to have to all on my team. Xxxxxxxx
Big free car park which is rare for the NHS these days. Easy to park early but gets a bit full after 9:30am.nnYou need to book for bloods. Just google “st Helen’s bloods booking” and you will find the site. Super easy to do, just book way in advance if you can so you get the appointment you need.nnStaff are lovely and the hospital is relatively modern.
Been trying to book a blood test at newton which I often do but it's just taking me round in circles and not giving me the opportunity to book a test. Very poor service.
My husband Steve has recently been here for 10 days - the staff were marvellous, very helpful and hardworking. The physios worked hard to get him home. Can’t fault them all 10/10
