The scan was done on my partner.nFirstly booking was pleasant and easy, the gentleman booking the appointment was efficient, polite, he made me an appointment for a gp referral so i could have the mri scan, rang the booking line on the friday had the gp phonecall saturday then had the scan the following Wednesday, had the full body platinum mri scan, ecg and blood tests. The staff at the newton le willows branch were lovely, helpful and professional i felt at ease, went in for the scan after a 5 minute wait after the scan i was supposed to come back an hour and half afterwards for the bloods but they managed to do them straight after, nurse was lovely who took the bloods, ut my partner at ease, got the blood results on the friday and the ecg results and then the mri scan results on the monday, came to these because of the waiting lists on the nhs and wanted the full body scan done in one go instead of going back and forth with gp to get each part done seperatly.
I Saw Diane today to take a blood sample for a testing company. She was very pleasant, experienced and professional. My veins decided to hide of course, but she showed great patience and skill to collect the sample. No bruising, no pain. Excellent experience thank you.
Avoid Pall Mall Newton Le Willows. My experience in April this year beggars belief. My surgery with Mr Siddiqui went really well and I am over the moon with my results. It is the after care and the venue itself which falls below other private or NHS facilities I’ve experienced. Without going into the full ins and outs, they venue is dull and lifeless for a private clinic, they should take a look at Spire or Alex for comparison and inspiration, They were short staffed, the nurse who greeted myr was rushed off her feet and later said she was the only one on duty. My private room was so small and soulless with an en-suite toilet, not bathroom, which had a door which didn’t close, blinds didn’t work and no window in the door for observation, I could have been in the floor in between 4 hourly checks and they wouldn’t have known.. duty of care?? Leg pump required as part of my after care package to avoid blood clots wasn’t switched on until I raised this with the staff once I was fully recovered from my anaesthetic and notice them not working. food ordered from a menu was a complete myth, being told I could only have what was left, discharged without a discharge letter and when requested by my GP had the incorrect dates on. After discharge I needed dressings changed and was asked if my husband or a friend could do it and to go buy some new dressings despite this being part of my aftercare and included in my payment. Although the staff who looked after me were lovely, the level of care leaves much to be desired seeming due to staff shortage. These are just a few things. I made a formal complaint to which Pall Mall either denied on points or gave unsatisfactory and even dismissive responses. They accept no responsibility whatsoever then told me if I wanted to appeal I needed to do this through my consultant. Why, he was amazing and my complaint is about Pall Mall and not Mr Siddiqui who was, and continues to be great. Pall Mall have taken no responsibility for their shortfalls and have actually given unsatisfactory and dismissive responses to my complaint. Totally disinterested. I quickly moved my follow up visits to a reputable hospital and I wouldn’t use Pall Mall again nor recommend then. Iwould go as far to say avoid.
I paid private at Pall Mall Newton Le Willows, to say I was disappointed is an understatement, I was first greeted by a rude health care assistant, who took me to my room which didn’t even have a working toilet door. I had to use the toilet in front of her without a door. I was then told I was the next patient in for surgery, my surgery was scheduled at 1320hrs, I didn’t go in for surgery until 1600hrs. No one came in and kept me updated they just left me sat in the room like I was forgotten about. Then when it was time for the surgery they rushed getting me into the room because they were running late. There was no politeness or friendliness, it was like I was an inconvenience. After the surgery I wasn’t even given proper food, even though I filled out a menu with my food choices. I got a tiny pot of fruit after not eating for 17 hours! It then felt like I was rushed out because they wanted to go home. Then I have been trying to book in my final post op and all I’m receiving is rude emails again, like I’m inconveniencing them. It feels like they’ve took my money and want nothing to do with me even though I’m still due a post op! Disappointed doesn’t even cover how I feel from this experience.
Went in today for a blood test, it didn’t appear on the system but Sophie who was on reception sat making phone calls to make sure I could be seen. Going in today was a great experience and Sophie and the nurse I saw were really nice and friendly, would definitely go again and will recommend it to friends and colleagues.
