Excellent doctors and nurses. Poor admin / appointments system. Very difficult to book appointments, not everyone can get time off to make an on the day appointment and this needs to be addressed.
Don't usually leave reviews or complain but the booking appointment system needs complete change. It's now impossible to book an appointment either on the phone the line just goes dead or online askmyGP is offline 24/7. The doctors are good when you can see them but unfortunately I now feel that we have a GP only on paper! No point waisting an hour of your time from 8 til 9am, if they finally pick up just before 9, they tell you it's fully booked and give you a number to another surgery! What a joke!
Can never get hold of anyone, even if you can there is no advice or help when you need it. Prescriptions are a joke you now have to be able to get to the surgery to post the refill as the email doesn’t work or doesn’t get sent to the chemist in time, you also have to do it Exactly 7 days before refill is needed as a day early it will not get put through and a day late your prescription is late it’s absolutely ridiculous. I got sent back and fourth over 4 times last week to two different chemists and the prescription had been so messed up.
Can't recommend this surgery enough! Since moving here they have gone above and beyond for me and my 2 children. Thank you very much!
It has been hard to book appointments but I find the doctors helpful
GP care is usually excellent here but it's so difficult to deal with the admin systems, difficult to get through on the phone, difficult to make appointments. Somebody needs to look at how it functions from the patients point of view.
I have always been able to get an appointment either when needed in an emergency especially for children or routine appointments. The doctors have all been really thorough, kind and helpful. Even though receptionists are usually very busy I have always found them polite and efficient.
Rude receptionist! If you have a disability, I would avoid this surgery. No compassion. Training issues, i think with the receptionist she needs address her customer manner and also have more awareness for people with disabilities! Don't normally leave reviews or complain but this place needs sort the staff out
I have been with this surgery for over 30 years and yes, they have some issues however, most surgeries have these days. The doctors have always been second to none and I have had no problem whatsoever with the reception staff. As someone who usually has to be hounded into seeing the doctor no offence Dr Jones and co I know when I HAVE to go and when I need to use my local pharmacy. Keep trying to improve Bryn Cross Surgery as I am sure you will. Thank you.
Pretty much impossible to book an appointment at this place! I have been a patient here for most of my life and still struggle to get appointments when needed. There is a massive lack of communication between the doctors and reception staff regarding the appointments system. I have always struggled to book over the phone or online because there are never any appointments! When you ask for an appointment in advance, you are told that you have to book on the day. However, my parents rang at the same time and managed to book one over the phone for days in advance? The appointments system needs completely changing. That being said, when you do eventually get to see a doctor/nurse; they are helpful, kind and courteous.
