Recently I have had two very good and impressive responses to my requests for advice on health. In October following an online request for help I had within a week had a telephone consultation and a face to face with the practice nurse and been referred to a consultant now seen and the physio on a different matter This week I again filled in an online request and was contacted within a couple of hours and had told to bring in a sample , had a telephone consultation with a doctor and obtained antibiotics within 24 hours . Very good service as long as you can navigate the online website in the first instance . I hate using the phone so this suits me.
Phone up 9.45, got appointment for 11.15, was seen and my problem sorted and explained throughly, i had my 4yr old who has autism with me, who wanted to to know what everything did and why, brilliant! I moved out of the area 11 yrs ago, my children attend a different doctors but here is by far the best they listen where as my kids doctors id give -
Pleasant welcome when booking in at reception. Was accompanying disabled brother. Dr Finn was as always very approachable and caring. He throughly addressed current problems/concerns apologies to those patients waiting that we caused him to overrun and arranged for follow up appointment to review progress.
The doctors itself is fine usually but the online consult very very rarely ever works. Considering its harder to get an appointment it was one of the good things that you could do online consult. Been trying to do it for the past week and half and not worked at all un this period.
The service was excellent. I was unwell and was not sure if I would be given the appointment, but I straight away got a same day face to face appointment. The GP took his time and completed an assessment and referred me to A&E. Good service and friendly staff.
awful. dr's operate to their own agenda, disregard all patient information and make remarkably bad decisions mainly due to being too lazy to read relevant history and adapt and improve care. they fail at providing even a basic service and will blackmail you into not complaining with the threat of withdrawing access to services. shame, really. but it is what it is :-
Hello all reading this review, Firstly, have unfortunately become a patient with a higher demand than normal. However, today visiting the clinic for somewhat complexed issues, I’m pleased to say Bryn street have certainly for my care adjustments which help enormously. To be seen by the same GP each occasion or speak via a telephone conversation helps prevent the need to introduce a complexed set of needs to a different GP. More of the time spent therefore has been addressing the issues needed. I am also pleased to say that to actually to be listened too, rather than being asked questions which can come across as a stab in the dark to be on the same page. Again, this help enormously. As I said earlier in the review, I’ve become more dependent on the help from the Bryn street practice which again has changed for the better since other aspects of the NHS turn out patients without either the knowledge of their status or what’s happening next. So my primary care team at the Bryn street clinic have stepped up to the plate from the Management Emma who is brilliantly helpful so to has been the GP Dr Ifunanya Okam who has seemingly taken me as kind of sole GP carer. This is vital as a health picture & relationship begins which brings a better quality of care since she knows more each time. So to say I am getting brilliant care that’s within the capacity of any GP practice is nothing short of than outstanding & really welcomed in these days of my degraded health condition. You can bring to feel that you matter as a patient and if help is possible it will happen at Bryn street. Thank you Dr Ifunanya & Emma ,not forgetting the other team members . Thank you guys for the great service your providing.
I struggled to access the online consultation system a technical issue meant it was stuck in a loop for days and emailed the surgery for help in getting a phone consultation; nothing. Four days later, finally managed to access the system. Admin staff not very helpful, and you get the impression you're interrupting their day. Appointment eventually arranged, I saw a GP I've never seen before, who couldn't even manage to look at my face and instead stared at his computer screen. It's no wonder A&E departments are always overrun.
Would like to be able to actually book an appointment online saves queuing to be told no appts available after being requested to phone and book one. Also since the number has changed even harder to get through and when they do answer states a different surgery rather than a generic SSP welcome so you question if you have rang the correct number could be confusing for elderly patients
I have been unwell and struggling but I seen karen martin a few times and she has been fantastic with me very kind and really patient gone out of her way to help me out in the best way she can all I can say is keep doing an amazing job karen you are helping people more than you know
