We always enjoy visits to this pub /restaurant - it’s my favourite and full of history and character. Beautiful garden as well; which is a great place to sit in the warmer weather. The food is lovely with a great selection - their fish & chips are spectacular! Yes, it’s a bit more expensive than some other places but in my opinion it is completely worth it.
Very over rated. This pub does not warrant the over priced food. It is a village pub not a fine dining experience. I only need to drive 2 mile to the Griffin Inn at Plumtree to have superb food at a fraction of the price. Beautifully presented and a lot of choice. Not sure how it gets the rewards.
We had a wonderful lunch in this quiet pub. The atmosphere was excellent, the beer very good and the food, perfect for a January day.
Came here for Sunday lunch, the pub is in a lovely setting and nicely decorated inside. Whilst the food was nice enough I can't say that the price tag justifies it.
Pretty pub in a quiet village setting. Lovely garden in the summer. Staff shortages are evident in their offhand attitude. Very good menu, but fairly pricey - at least £10 for a sandwich...but thick, nice fillings and served with chips and salad.
If your looking for a proper pub. Look no further. Excellent service, AMAZING food, great choice of drinks all served in a wonderful venue with crackling fire in the countryside. This is an amazing place
A gem. Fantastic food, service on a lovely old pub. First class.
Fantastic, proper pub, excellent food, good service and friendly staff.
A great British pub, with the local Colston Basset cheese featuring on the menu, and good ale behind the bar Timothy Taylor's Landlord -Aug 2018. Expensive, but great food. Lovely village setting with parking and large beer garfen.
Nice setting but excruciatingly expensive for standard pub grub. Bloke on the bar was a bit sassy it was 33C and maybe a little hot and bothered, but the best welcome £3.75 for soda and lime, £18 for a burger... Ouch
