The location of the hotel is excellent, easy to find and a short walk from all the attractions. The car park was an added bonus. Our room was small but very comfortable and extremely clean. We had everything we needed for a very good nights sleep. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The extensive breakfast buffet was good value for money, the food was delicious. We are looking forward to a return visit.
Beautiful hotel in the centre of Norwich. Our suite was fabulous, with wooden beams, rolltop bath, interesting shower, overlooking the cathedral. A bit of traffic noise. The staff are friendly and charming. The restaurant and outdoor terrace are sadly covered in plastic flowers. There are some beautiful, dried flowers in corridors. The restaurant has enough natural light for real plants. Breakfast is generous and lots of choice. Sadly, we weren’t told our complimentary spin in the Bentley was cancelled.nGood value for money, and would definitely stay again.
I have attended a number of events at the Maids Head over the years and they have always been fantastic so I was pleased when my Daughter chose it for her wedding. Chris, Gemma, Rose and all of the staff were so kind and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them and the event was magical. Thank you for making the day so special. The food at the reception was fantastic as was the breakfast. The guest bedrooms were also excellent and such a great location to explore the city.
Beautifully cooked Sunday lunch, perfectly balanced. The best cheese sauce on the cauliflower cheese I have ever tasted. Do you use cream?nVery reasonable prices for excellent quality in beautiful surroundings.
A very classy hotel!nnThis isn’t a budget hotel by far, but what you pay for is what you get! We payed £180 for a Saturday night in a standard double room, breakfast included. The room was small, but elegant and comfortable. What it lacked in size it made up for in character, the bed was comfortable, the fittings were modern, the bathroom even had a light up mirror!nnIf you are looking for a spacious room I recommend upgrading past the standard double, but, unlike a basic hotel, such as travel lodge, this hotel has so much more to offer other than the rooms themselves. You need not spend the majority of your down time in your room, there are delightful lounge areas placed around the hotel accessible at all times, a delightful bar, courtyard with seating, Bentleys available to view and be driven in and 24 hour room service. That’s just to mention the attractions inside the hotel, the maids head is in the heart of the city and within walking distance of the all of Norwich’s attractions.nnWe did not dine at the wine press restaurant in the evening, however we did thought enjoy our breakfast. The breakfast buffet is luxurious and has every food you can imagine, and unlike a standard hotel, all made to order breakfast dishes are included in the standard breakfast price. I had a delightful eggs florentine. They also bring fresh pressed unlimited coffee and tea to your table.nnWe received a warm welcome from all the staff at the hotel - despite looking a bit different to the usual guests. We are a young couple who dresses casually, but we never received a hint of judgment from the staff members, they were all friendly and professional, and did a great job.nnI highly recommend the Maids Head Hotel for a romantic or luxurious city break!
