I've never had a bad meal here. First time for a Sunday lunch and it was fantastic, the beef and pork were excellent.
Good food in a nice place, very pleasant staff and they allow dogs in too.
Food tasty as always. Staff lovely as always. Would highly recommend coming here if you get chance
Excellent roast dinner tonight with a lovely glass of Melbec. Friendly, warm atmosphere and super to see Sue & Jug owners again.
Service extremely slow on this occasion otherwise would have given five stars. The food was great and well worth the wait but better communication about the delay would have made us feel more welcome.
Delicious food, great service, really clean. Lovely pub, can't fault it! And just off the Middlewood Way.
Small, dog friendly pub, a few hundred yards west of bridge 29 on the Macclesfield canal. Serving real ale and draught beer with a small but excellent wine cellar, the one downside on the drinks menu only bottled cider stocked. The restaurant menu is small but the quality and portion size is excellent, you will not leave still feeling hungry. This is one of the best pubs I have visited in Cheshire and will be on my visit list whenever am in the Macclesfield area.
Nice pub always has been. Staff were nice but the last 3 times I've been now the chips have been cooked in the same oil/fryer as the fish so my chips taste like fish. Fine I suppose if you're ordering fish and chips, but I wasnt.
A friendly welcome, good atmosphere, above average food, a well stocked bar, check the specials board we missed them on the way in!! Well worth a visit :-
Not been here for years and was pleased to see the small extension at the back. Food was not how I remembered but times do change. It was fine for pub food though and the service was cheery and pleasant.
