Decided to drop in after a long day of shopping when driving home. We were immediately met with the warmest of welcomes at this lovely pub. We had a main and a pudding each and ate every last bit. Absolutely stunning food and great service. Highly recommended!!! We will be returning soon thankyou.
An incredible pub. Well worth a visit even from afar. The staff were incredibly bubbly, kind and helpful we had lots of questions about the local area as we were doing family history research. The food was divine. We were there at late lunchtime and it was so fresh and tasty. I am very much looking forward to booking a table and visiting on an evening to enjoy the high quality food some more.
Great little country pub with outdoor seating and plenty of parking. The food was absolutely amazing and the staff were really friendly. Dogs are welcome and the staff made sure we had water for our pooch as well as lovely big bone to chomp on.
What a fabulous little pub and the staff are so friendly and helpful, so we’ve come back on Easter Sunday for lunch, food is excellent also. If you’re around here you must call in I can’t recommend it enough you will not be disappointed
Never sure what to expect from a fairly isolated pub with an almost empty car park, but the lunchtime sandwiches here were excellent: generously filled, nicely dressed side salad, and a lovely home made coleslaw. Good selection of beers too. Pity we're so far away...
We found The Royal Oak whilst holidaying in the area. Great choice of menu and wonderful home cooked food. Service was excellent as was the choice of beers. We've booked in for a second visit whilst here and would definitely return again in the future!
It's a little rustic, but not on a bad way. Really friendly bar staff. Food was decent for the price, felt freshly prepared and cooked, even on a quiet midweek lunchtime.
Lovely pub, lovely people who own it, make you feel welcome, good outside place for when it's sunny, lovely food, 5 star's from me .
Amazing pub, beer was great and food was fantastic. We were in a large group which can be difficult to manage but we were looked after very well! Will definitely return even though it’s 150 miles from me. Class establishment.
First impressions of a beautifully refurbished pub were backed up by charming staff, really tasty food and a delightful ambience. Can't praise highly enough. Glad to note that it is also dog friendly so will bring ours along next time!
