03/07/2022 Just had a lovely meal here with my son I had Bacon Cheese Burger with Fries & Onion Rings My son had Turkey Dinner his only fault with his meal was that carrots were hard & yourkshire pudding was relatively tasteless aside from a burnt aftertaste Friendly & Polite Staff Clean Premises Clean Restrooms Disabled Friendly Carpark Huge Free Carpark & a Overall Flow Carpark behind the main Carpark Blue Badge Holder Car Spaces Disabled Friendly Restrooms Clean Restrooms Outside Seating Area to the Front of the Building also to the Back of the Building Children's Play Area to the back of the building which is fenced in so little ones cannot escape
My husband and I came for a roast dinner on Sunday evening with my brother and sister-in-law and it was absolutely brilliant! The staff were exceptionally helpful, funny and friendly and they immediately made us feel relaxed and at home. We all had a big roast dinner and plenty of sides and desserts and we left nothing but clean plates! One of the best pub roasts I've ever had in a lovely warm and inviting pub with a great atmosphere. Cannot recommend this place highly enough! Thank you
Harry and your team were amazing!! We were booked in elsewhere but unfortunately they cancelled our booking. We were a party of 19 people, a christening. Harry was able to fit us in and the food was great. But the staff were exceptional. Very welcoming. I am also gluten free and options were excellent. Thank you so much.
Booked for a party of 11 one of whom required a gluten free meal. Matt could not have been more helpful, happily accommodating several requests and changes to the standard meals. All food came together and no complaints from anyone. Definitely recommend.
Food was fantastic! As a coeliac I had lots to choose from quite rare and the bread was lovely too and not like cardboard. If you know… you know. Very pleased with the service too! Will definitely be back!
Very nice pub grub, great service; my rib of beef was excellent, as was the red wine Argentinian Melbec. One of us had the beef pie which unfortunately she found to be too full of gristle... but we'll definitely go again.
Went today with my son for food told there would be a half hour wait which was fine. However a large group arrived who hadnt booked, a family of 3 and a table of 5 who were all given a menu and cutlery straightaway and not advised there was a wait.They even managed to place their food order! We left after this as we werent given any update on how much longer the wait would be but clearly the wait would have increased due to the larger groups having priority!!
We had a wonderful Christmas Dinner and 80th birthday for 16 people at the Blacksmiths. The food was great and the team were absolutely brilliant. So kind and looked after us really well.
What can I say.. we have just held my dads 90th birthday party here.. the service from start to finish was absolutely incredible, from organising the food choice, constant updates , to the buffet on the actual day, fabulous choice, staff couldn’t do enough for us , highly recommend for any occasion, thank you
Saved our Xmas day after being asked to leave the Egerton Arms @ 3 15pm after no table which was booked for 2 30pm. We told them our dilema went into kitchens to see what they could do for us As they had ordered food for Xmas meals that had been booked. But like knights in shining armour, the team pulled all the stops out set a table, given crackers then a beautiful cooked turkey dinner came out followed by Xmas pud. They couldn't do enough for us. On such a difficult day to find food. Can't praise them high enough.
