Another wonderful visit, this time for Father's day. Food was delicious, play area kept the children well entertained and service was spot on!
Just popped in this evening for a swift half, but decided to stop for a bite to eat. 2 portions of Wagyu burger and chips later, very satisfied customers! Early Thursday evening, not empty but plenty of tables no need to book. We chose to sit outside. Prompt service. All the usual Covid safety stuff in place.
Food was nice but you get exactly what it says on the menu, no extra garnish or salad. On the expensive side. Staff very friendly, good motorhome stopover for Lyme Park.
Little better second time around. Staff were more attentive and we were taken better care of. The atmosphere in some areas seemed more appropriately ambient that others but it was too bright lighting wise for me and sound seemed to be overly loud despite others talking normally in the area my wife and I were seated.
Me and my girlfriend parked here to go on a walk round lyme Park very accessible from the pub. Came back to the miners Arms for a drink before we left and decided to order some food, we chose the steak & ale pie to share. Didn't expect much but was blown away by it. The meat was exquisite and the flavours of every component were just sublime. 10/10 would recommend.
Honestly the best Chicken & Chips I have ever eaten. And that spicy sauce WOW! what ever is in that please tell me! It was yummy! Lovely ambiance in the outside area under the tents. Can imagine it has a great vibe at the weekends so we will certainly be back. QR codes to order is super easy too, food and drinks ordered and delivered no issues. Thank you!
hi, i’m exceedingly disappointed with my experience with this pub the other day. i came in with my two daughters after a long day of walking to having be told to wait half an hour for a table. i was not bothered by this statement as it was understandable if there was not enough tables but half an hour later i was still stood up waiting to sit down. nearly forty five minutes later i acquired a table that was finally free and then proceeded to wait an unreasonable time of an hour to get given my food which then to my surprise i found nail shavings in my sandwich! i was extremely disgusted by this and have made all of my acquaintances aware of this problem which needs to be sorted out immediately as it is hugely unhygienic and out right disgusting. i will DEFINITELY NOT be setting foot in here again.
Called in after a ride along the Middlewood Way. Very nice little pub in a lovely little road in a picturesque village. Nice garden to the rear with large outdoor seating area. Staff very nice and attentive. Small menu but good choice. Had halloumi burger, nothing wrong with it, but just OK, nothing to shout about. Would definitely recommend and visit again. Reason for 4 star is outside could be tidied up a bit.
Visited on Friday 9th october while staying on the campsite near the marina Lovely pub, lovely, friendly staff. We played some music and received some really good feedback from the locals, thanks everyone also had a meal on Saturday which we would highly recommend. .Hope to see you all again soon. Linda, Dave and Paul
Five of us had lunch on New Year's Day. We had booked a table, very pleased we had, since the place was heaving, full of large groups of walkers. The food was excellent, well done to the staff on such a busy lunchtime.
